This pier needs some TLC ASAP.It was great for a stroll with the kids, only had a small amusement arcade.Still worth a visit if just for the views of Beachy Head.

few OKish shops and the standard amusement arcade. Fishing facilities at the end of the pier look quite fun and those using it seemed to catching a fair few mackerel when we were there. Beautiful views up and down the beach.

you can imagine the victorians walking on the pier, and the sea front, we also spent the evening in the pavilion for a wedding reception which was great.

the pier was o.k. but too many empty shops to warrant more than one visit it could do with a paint also

Just walking along the pier brought back childhood memories, like the candy floss and different places to eat, you also get great views of Eastbourne from the end of the pier and it costs you nothing to visit.

Good day out, Normally priced not Seaside prices which is good, Plenty of Amusement machines and Plenty of Little Shops and Food Outlets all the way down The Pier.
Plenty of Parking at good prices near to The Pier. So well worth it.

Nothing nicer than a stroll on the pier in the evening, a really vibrant atmosphere and so picturesque when all the lights are on which stretch all along the promenade. in the afternoon the Victorian Tea Rooms are a must visit, 'with sumptuous afternoon teas.

My daughter loved the arcade everynight. Though I do think investment is required and maybe more shops required

Eastbourne appears from our visit to be a pleasant place which has sand on the beach when the tide is low. It is therefore better than Brighton for young children. It appears to attract more older holidaymakers and young children than Brighton. Car parking is easier and less expensive than in Brighton.
It has a pier which is free to go on.
The best sea bathing is west of the pier as that is the area which is monitored for bathing water quality.
The main downside is that the Council charges people 20pence to use the public toilets near the pier.

An enjoyable typical seaside town pier, amusements, benches, candy floss, bars, burgers etc. unfortunately badly let down by the completely tasteless chips cooked from frozen at the chip shop on the entrance, and the once frozen prawns from the 'seafood' stall on the west side

well it is wheelchair accessiable except for the night club at the end of the pier we didnt see any access their it was all up steps, on the pier you can see the traditional amusement slot machines then theres sweet shops, gift shops, glass making shop, a victorian cafe we had a victorian tea which came on a tea stand which sandwiches, scones, cake, you can take home if you carnt finish it very filling, and of course a good cuppa. Then theres a lovely breeze especially at night if you like to look out to sea..

This was a typical seaside resort pier with the usual array of slots machines, donut seller and fast food takeaways. It was however a nice view at night looking back over Eastbourne

a really beautiful nice old pier, victorian style, great for pictures and really old beauty. On the pier itself a bit of renovation could be nice, but really worth a visit.

No cohesive opening times of the various attractions.
The camera Obscura tower never seemed to be open.

The pier is a little out dated. Looks lovely at night. Typical pier with games rooms and souvenier shops lining the way.

Even the young (at heart) like it. Ample food, drinks souvenirs and panorama to absorb. During Eastbourne, Airbourne a great place to sight the planes on any day. Also the fireworks are grand in fantasy...also for Disney lovers :)

Victorian era pier still retains it's charm with kitchy shops and food vendors. Try try icecream shop toward the end of the pier, the best!!! As always when on a pier, sea gulls abound and the woman next to us got a "dollop" on her head, so shew them away!

Lovely Pier-testament to the engineering skills of our forefathers. It juts out over beautiful clean sea. It has a few shops along the way selling the usual souvenirs-postcards/ornaments/sweets etc.At the far end there were people fishing. There is also a nightclub and an amusement parlour. Plenty to keep you busy for a hour or so.

Just an average pier with caffes and entertainment. beautiful view on the cliffs and hotels though. We loved the views and little seafood snacks bought in one of the little food shops on the pier.

Not being a fan of piers i didnt think id enjoy my visit here, but i was pleasently surprised. I liked looking in the glass blowing shop, seeing the people making things was really interesting. There are a lot of slot machines and things, and a few odd shops selling postcards and magnets and the usual tourist things. The pub lacks character, but fortunatly there is a lot of outside seating where you can look out over the town and sea as you drink. Worth a visit, but wont take up too much of your day.
