Enjoyable walk along the pier plenty of interesting shops and amusements and a place to eat and drink the exterior is a little run down but that doesn't distract from the great atmosphere 😊 it does get quite windy so be careful what you wear to save embarrassment 😂

I feel a little mean only giving Eastbourne pier 3 stars. It is a key feature of the attractive seafront. A landmark. As piers go it is pretty and generally well maintained, attractive.
The pier is free to enter.
The current owner has spent a lot of money buying and renovating the pier and for this we should be grateful, particularly as the pier caught fire a few years ago and the damaged section has been rebuilt at great expense. But there is virtually nothing of quality actually on the pier.
There is a fresh made dognut/ice cream kiosk at the entrance, the donuts are quite nice and a fish and chip shop opposite. On the pier is a bistro style Cafe and a couple of gift shops. At night there is a night club on the end of the pier. I've never been to the club. There us a small fishing tackle shop right at the far end and people sometimes fish from the permit controlled area at the very end.
It's cute but all a bit average. Worth a stroll if you are there but not worth a journey to see.

Lovely Victorian Pier with several shops and a tearoom. A good way to see Eastbourne from. Sadly a few of the shops were empty. Do visit the glass shop though.

Lovely pier, plenty of places to grab food, little arcade. They had live music the day we visited which was lovely. It worth the walk around and a sit down to admire the veiw. In places it is a little run down but looks like they are working on the pier as you could go right to the back, but worth a visit.
