Shut by 7pm. Far to quiet for us. Went back to the pier and nothing but two little arcades was open. Therefore left.

Nice place to chill and admire the view, picnic tables have been added to the far end and very good for Pokemon hunting,

It's one of England's most famous piers. I'm missing the arcade that burned down in 2014, but hope it will be replaced by something almost as good.

Had a lovely walk round the Pier, there is a nightclub at the end, and some shops, one selling lovely glass and flowers, and a Victorian tea rooms where I had a coffee.

Eastbourne's iconic pier, is sadly a shadow of its former self, following a fire that destroyed the "blue room" (as it was known by us locals ) just a couple of years ago
. Now under New ownership , with only decking and benches where once stood the magnificent structure, it lacks atmosphere. Still nice to walk on , on a fine summers day

Eastbourne has the usual small shops, eateries and a bar. We had afternoon tea in the little restaurant on the pier. It was nice but nothing special.

What a great pier, maintained to a high standard, plenty of seating. Shops worth a look in especially the glass shop. Beautiful blue sea 😀

The ice cream parlour at the entrance is directly as they don't even give you a full scoop of ice cream and I was quite shocked at being given just half a scoop for the price. The small cafe stall in the wish tower car park gives much bigger ice cream portions... next to the RNLI museum. The pier itself is looking great though with lots of lovely seating and all freshly painted. It's become an absolute hive of activity for Pokemon GO players with several stops and a gym especially around the entrance.
A great job being done with all the restorations and we'll be back again soon just not for ice cream ;)

Free entry to the pier. Refurbishment is currently underway and the pier has seen better days but it is still enjoyable to walk along or sit in the sun. Care needs to be taken with young children as some of the older seating along the edge of the pier is low and open. There is a small glass works, tourist shop, small arcades as well as places to get refreshments, ice creams and chips. The local Dotto Train stops right outside the pier.

In the centre of the promenade it has restaurants, ice cream parlours games machines and all that you would expect from a pier. It is currently being painted.

No holiday is complete without a trip long the prom and a stroll on the pier.Although Eastbourne pier suffered considerable damage by fire and has been restored but sadly it lacks character.

We just had an evening walk to the end and back... With the ginormous seagulls! There were a few shops and a cute looking tea room (but these were shout for the evening). There's a night club too and plenty of 'pier type' food places such as the fish and chips and souvenir shops! Excellent views of the seafront of Eastbourne.

Lovely to walk down but no shops of interest or anything to do on it. Therefore, accept it for what it is an lovely and novel extension to the pier with tacky shops upon it.

This pier is very spacious and is a good location for a picnic with the family. The shops in the pier is a must to visit for some knick knacks. It is worth a visit especially in a good weather.

A pity there is still scaffolding in July but sections of the pier are very attractive having been recently refurbished. Seafront hotels offer tea & coffee facilities. Further back an alarming number of commercial properties on the market.

Have always enjoyed a lovely walk along the pier. It has had work done which looks very nice. Was disappointed that the original sweet shop had gone.

Refurbished after the fire the PIER looked just as it should. It is free at the moment but I heard rumours that it will not always be.

It can recall the old atmosphere. New and old shops, lovely fish&chips or scones.
