There are ice cream parlours and sweet shops all the way down the pier; also there is a Victorian tea room!! There is also penny slot machines and other things to do!

Loved the new look of the pier; it's golden turrets with navy blue and white contrasting features looks really smart. If visiting Eastbourne you must take a stroll along the pier to see an alternative view of the town. Fish n chip shop, Victorian themed tea room, a bar and tourist nicknack shop - wonderful!

It is what it is, free admission and usual shops and arcades but all good value, stopped for some good old fashioned chips from the chip shop which were very nice.

Good choice of food. Lots for children and adults on a cold summer day. New owner obviously making a real effort to renovate and tidy up.

Not many left these days in this beautiful condition. Well looked after, interested, busy with lovely views over Eastbourne. It was like going back to the past, which was most enjoyable.

Not a lot to do on here now so pretty boring ! Sad really when last time we had endless fun in the arcade ! We walked up and down and that was it , there is literally nothing to do ! I know it's still a tourist attraction and is a lovely pier but the kiddies were bored .

Lots of little shops the best two being the old fashioned fudge shop selling home made fudge and the victorian tea rooms. Just under the pier you can get the best sea food in town.

Lords of new seating area's , a pleasant walk. A few shops. Not really great for kids. A new table seating area at the end of the pier is a great addition

Well, its free & its a pier. Its not very long in length. At the entrance are a couple of eating shops. Along the pier are about 3 sets of small arcades, there is a nightclub and a food & drink bar. Its all very basic.
The food & drink bar is quite small and has no facilities of its own to eat outside. (The owners could learn how to improve this. Just look at Bournemouth pier).
There are various seats & tables along the pier. There is little else to do. On a fine day, have a wander & admire the sea view.

On Saturday whilst my wife and I were visiting Eastbourne we went onto the Eastbourne pier for a walk around it.Since we were last here part of the pier was burnt down in a fire
But it has been rebuild and a great job they have made of it .The layout has been changed to provide wider space for all and wooden tables and seats placed for people to sit and eat their picnic or takeaways. The pier has many shops and cafes selling meals snacks or takeaways. There is also places selling alcohol drinks. The pier is better now than what is was before the fire occurred.Well worth a visit for anyone visiting Eastbourne. The entrance is free to all which is even better.

I've grown up in eastbourne and it has come along way the owner is putting money into making the pier better, HOWEVER... Gold this gold that, really isn't necessary!

I always like walking along piers. This was one of the cleanest. A good variety of shops/fast food outlets and noticed a night club at the end. Only one recommendation is to keep toddlers/small children close to you as the railing at the beginning of the pier do not have any protection against small children falling off. Please be careful.

Eastbourne Pier does not have a lot to offer. It is very basic and certainly not worth making a special trip for. A nightclub at the end is the highlight for many a thirteen year old by the look of it.

Pier looks quite impressive after sad fire in recent years. Very wide and spacious in parts. Camera Obscura (unable to visit it, scaffolded during our visit, so check if it is a must see on your to do list before your visit). No shrieking massive rides, so a fairly peaceful area, easy for the less able, wheelchair users, etc. Some seating, but will let visitors judge the comfort factor for themselves! Pleasant and historic.

The pier is slowly rising out of the ashes and I think the present owner is making a really good job of refurbishing it. Its going to take time to restore it completely but love all the picnic tables and the Victorian Tearooms.

We stayed in Eastboure, near the pier, for 5 days but only visted the pier once due to disappointment. There are a couple of nice shops on the pier, and it's a nice walk down the pier but not much else. The arcade was small and smelled really bad. The tea room looked nice but we didn't visit it. It lacked atmosphere that you usually get on a pier.

Two years on after the devastating fire that destroyed the 'blue room' area where the amusement arcade was located the pier is now fully open again but still undergoing refurbishment and is slowly but surely regaining it's former dignity. There is still a long way to go but at least this historic structure is getting some of the love that it deserves, I am sure that if this continues it will become a an essential part of the tourism itinerary of Eastbourne again. It's most definitely 'on the up!'

My 89 year old Father wanted me to take him to Eastbourne Pier to see the renovations after the fire. It was very pleasant and a great little shop to buy souvenirs and some Eastbourne Fudge!

We had a very pleasant time spent just browsing and relaxing on the pier. Plenty to see and involving ones self.
