We visited the pier at Eastbourne a number of times during our weekend. Its lovely and quaint and has been repaired well after the fire in 2014. I would like to recommend a visit to 1901 club for drinks. Hot, cold or cocktails. Mainly because it is so quirky! It is circular and has lots of different armchairs and seats in various fabrics. The pillars are covered in photographs of famous film and pop stars in 'interesting circumstances'
The staff were always welcoming and friendly. The loos were clean and tidy.
The only criticism I would have was that they advertised hot mulled wine on a board outside. We visited every day for 3 days and it was never available. This was a bit naughty! On a positive note..there is also a notice outside where it states (and underlined) It's warm inside. It certainly was.
I would definitely recommend a visit to 1901 on the pier and I hope to visit again in the future.

We were staying at a hotel across road from Eastbourne Pier & were well aware of the local feeling that the pier was decorated in a garish style. I would disagree with that view, following a devastating fire a new owner has invested a lot of money & time to ensure the pier is open once again. As a tourist attraction in Eastbourne it looks lovely & very inciting to stroll along & while away a couple of hours. We were there on a lovely January day, the sun was shining & the views across the bay were lovely. A jazz club at the end of the pier, shops & a really gorgeous coffee shop where we stopped for lunch. Well worth a visit.

went on the pier for afternoon tea in the Victorian tea rooms, although the tea room could do with a refurb the quality and value of the afternoon tea was superb.

The pier itself is very well maintained and clean. The tearoom on the pier looks lovely however we didn't visit as it was too early for lunch, otherwise we would've. There are a number of small arcades with a number of machines in including 2p machines which our toddler loved.

i had not been here since the fire where it destroyed the amusement arcade area, and was pleasantly suprised how much better it is without it and how good the pier looks now. fish n chips, ice creams, jazz bar, nightclub, gift shops and a few small arcades that are perfect for families to go into with 2p machines so they are not left out of pocket . traditionally made over, and also a large seating area where the large amusements were, presumably will be utilised with small kids rides or such like in the summer months.

Being a regular visitor of Eastbourne we love a visit to Eastbourne Pier.
It was so nice that after the fire a few years ago they had it restored to its former glory.
One place you must see (and sample) is the Victorian tea rooms on the pier.
It's like going back in time, wonderful , the tea and cakes are extremely nice, and the staff are very friendly.
Treat yourself and enjoy.

Good views but sparse entertainment, though this is primarily due to the fire. However, the location is quite run down and could so with a lot if work. Perhaps less gold lions and more basic attention to chipped and flaking paintwork and tatty signs; the underside is particularly unsightly due to the numerous roosting pigeons and their attendant mess.

I really like the new look pier, without the huge arcade at the front, its just what a victorian pier should be. But I wish they would bring the fishing back at the end, as it used to be great watching them catch very little. Otherwise this is great. Old fashioned tea room half way down for a real tea and cake. recommend that one.

It doesn't take long to walk round it. A gorgeous tea and cake shop all lit up. Lovely glass blowing and artifical flower shop. The pier is well looked after and not full of tacky shops and loud games. Great for a stroll round and it's free to get onto. Gorgeous view of the shore line.

The pier seemed to be in very good condition and was not full of tacky concessions and smelling of chip fat. We visited on a beautiful clear sunny day. The pier is free and gives good views of the Eastbourne seafront. Well worth a stroll if you are visiting the town.

Since its make over this pier has come to life and has much to offer all age groups . The Victorian cafe has an excellent range of reasonably priced snacks and the cream tea in particular is very good value and delicious.

Nice to see the pier having much needed TLC
I don't understand petty people complaining about the gold paint after all it was in a very poor state for a long time. Well done to the new owners
