This is a very odd pier. It starts off with a very wide empty space then there is what looks to be a charming tea place (that has good reviews I have noticed) and a few tiny arcades and shops.
In summer it seems to be a lot busier and of course there are marvellous views along the coast but it is a strangely quiet and expansive space in general. Well kept though.

I spent a few happy hours in glorious sunshine on this marvellous Victotian pier sitting in my heelchairt being wheelrd around by my wonderful daughter. We partook of REAL TEA (in a splendid tea pot - no tea bags and just like leaves like I remember from long ago. It is well worth a visit !

The pier has improved over the last few years at no doubt great cost to the new owner after being fire damaged. Even with the "Gold" Domes that caused much controversy and intervention by the Planning Dept and other "bodies. I fail to see how the "Sheik"can make much money on the property with its wide clear, clean spaces providing excellent views of the "Downs" and seafront without an entrance fee to Eastbournes many visitors and residents, but i hope he can continue its upkeep to the present standard without making it too"tacky". It is his so why not call it "Sheikspeare" LOL. Praise where it is due to a man no doubt constantly dipping into his pocket to upkeep this splendid attraction for the people

Always amazed by piers that have stood the test of time, it's not doing too bad for 147 years old.

We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather last Sunday so decided to have lunch yummy fish and chips from fish & chip shop at beginning of the pier! Yummy food enjoyed outside in the sun! The seagulls kept swooping but luckily didn't spoil the experience.

The pier is lovely and has lots to do, the Victorian tea room looked splendid, this chandeliers are beautiful but we didn't visit this time but definitely bookmarked for next visit.
We enjoyed a lovely walk around the pier after our food and would definitely visit again when we have more time!

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about... the domes on the Eastbourne pier have been repainted in gold...they used to be a dull grey colour...now they are gleaming...at last someone is looking after the place now...it looks much cleaner than my last visit and has some lovely little shops to while away the time...

We were at the Ocean Suite as guests for a company dinner and very pleasant it was too. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good and it was a bit dark so we didn't get the best of the venue's superb views. However it is very smart, clearly recently refurbished, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Also nothing wrong with the food- huge portions perhaps a bit too much but that is being churlish. Nice place.

Really well kept pier, not overly commercial, with a lovely tearooms. Little quirky shops, and old fashioned penny arcades, and a retro style bar.
Beautiful views of the coastline and sea.

Not bad. Amusement places are not as good as Great Yarmouth like places. However the beach was good and we enjoyed a lot.

The pier was opposite our hotel and so we just had to visit. It is free to go on the pier and there are several small individual shops, a Victorian tea room and at the far end, function rooms available to hire.

Nothing like a walk on the pier taking in the sounds and looking back at the seafront. Plenty of places to sit and chill, have a drink and good old fish and chips.
