I know that the locals do not like it but I love the restoration of Eastbourne Pier which looks rather splendid against the backdrop of an azure sky and sea. Fabulous!

My parents used to live in the area and we often visited the pier with our children. There seemed to be less on there than there used to be. The pub on the pier is a bit of a mis match in furniture and we saw a lot of people walk in and immediately walk out again so it obviously isn't very inviting.

It's worth a visit to see what done after the fire four years ago

It's not a such a big pier. There are some food markets and some gambling things but that's nearly everything you can do there. I like the one in Brighton more but to chill and relax, the on in Eastbourne is also fine.

Nice Victorian tea room on pier not cheap but makes you feel oddly enough a bit special<br>the glass making shop is also fascinating and well worth a visit always feel totally at ease in Eastbourne no hustle or bustle like Brighton or Southend plus the fact they have some good tribute acts going along during ext few months showing on the seafront bandstand

Walked out along pier on a dry day but with a cold wind & found not much going on seemed a bit desolate, may be better on a nice day. Did find the Chandeliers in a restaurant the most attractive thing.

Eastbourne pier has had some loving care & attention given to make it a pleasant place to visit, it's clean & tidy with plenty of places to sit, relax and take in the magnificent views of the sea, the promenade & the south downs. Souvenier shops, amusement arcade, ice creams, fish & chips..what more could you want from the "seaside"

We went for afternoon cream tea, in the Victorian Tea Room's. They staff were extremely pleasant, and very helpful. I thought the chandeliers were O T. Waste of table space, but, hey,we weren't eating them!.
The presentation of the cream tea was average, taste was good.
Pleased to see that there was some amusements, in various area's. Catering for old and young alike.
Weather was amazing.

Not a great deal to do on here since the fire took the main building but still nice to wonder around and get some fudge.

I had fish and chips on the pier. I bought just before the shop closed at 6pm, surprisingly early for me.

A lovely pier, you can get ice cream and sit down on one of the benches and enjoy the view. If you walk along the beach, there is farmer's market where you can get a meal, a nice dessert, and some souvenirs.
