Eastbourne Pier

Arrived just after lunch on a stunningly hot day. Parked in the shopping centre multi-storey which at £1 per hour was fairly reasonable (and shade for the car!) Lots of alfresco eateries to choose from on the short walk to the sea front where you are met with the stunning view of the pier. This knocks the spots off Hastings by a country mile.
The Victorian tea room is a must to visit and the Sussex tea is great value (scone with jam and clotted cream plus generous pot of tea for £3.95). The esplanade has well kept gardens (despite the drought) all the way to the Martello Tower via the Bandstand. The The Victorian hotels all along the front really give Eastbourne a feeling of grandeur - shall look forward to visiting again.

This is a lovely free pier it has seats and benches everywhere for you to sit.
It is in need of a clean and a tidy on the cosmetic side but don’t be put off it is still worth a walk to the end.
If you can grab s bag of chips from the chip shop at the front of the pier. Delicious and it may seem like not a lot but it is more in that bag than meets the eye. £2 a bag.

My friend works there and I have a free cuppa tea. I go there and into town every Saturday if weather is not too cold in colder months.

Unlike Brighton Pier Eastbourne Pier doesn't have a lot of amusements or any rides however it is a lovely spot for afternoon tea and it has a wonderful gift shop . Lots of seating and a lovely place to
Take in the sights of sunny Eastbourne

Enjoyed a walk around the pier. Very windy day and rough sea at close to high tide. Bracing! Lovely old fashioned tea shop with chandeliers. Lovely place to relax and enjoy lunch or afternoon tea, but if you are in a rush - go elsewhere.

We like Eastbourne and found a good place to park our Motorhome to the East of Eastbourne. It’s a nice walk in along the front to the pier and shops. The car park is at the Angling car park and has no barrier. The car park next door has a barrier.
