We were lucky to have some glorious late autumn sunshine. The pier is just what it should be a bit worn around the edges but still with a bit of that old world charm. The ice cream was really creamy!!

Good old fashioned pier. We spend some time on the 2p shove machine, and had a very pleasant hour or so.

I went on the pier on my mobility Scooter and it was very easy to negotiate.
I particularly like the old English tearoom which served traditional afternoon tea in a beautiful environment.
Sheikh Gulzar the owner has tried to keep the pier traditional.
I would like to see evening shows on it though.
Well worth a visit. These old piers need to be kept alive as part of our heritage

End of the season October, but still quite a few people enjoying the pier. All amenities opened, lovely tea room. Good views of the coast line of Eastbourne.

Took grandchildren up for the amusements as was open last week but closed this week. I appreciate it's a bit out of season but they were very disappointed

The gold-topped pier buildings looked very good in the sunshine. Pleased that there is still an amusement penny arcade but it is totally devoid of any staff. Some of the machines took money but didnt work and we spoke to a few people leaving who also felt cheated. Also no-one to summon if any health & safety issue. The change machines seem to have made staff obsolete!
