Omg, what a day we choose to visit the Pier! Its closed due to the weather but it looks amazing all light up in the eve in this windy gale! Based opposite our hotel. Plenty of parking. Will update on my next visit

Lovely scenery. Loved the colour scheme of the pier. Enjoy the brist walk as it was very windy on Sat. 2nd March when we made our first visit to Eastbourne.

The pier is perhaps Eastbourne's favourite landmark, but the town itself is well worth a visit. Arguably the classiest seaside resort on the south coast, miles better than rundown Brighton and with a promenade that is so beautifully presented throughout the year. With the influx of language schools in the town and young students to cater for it has long since cast aside it's old image as a venue for the genteel and retired and replaced it with a vibrant place with lots to do and lots to see.

If you think Hastings pier is too quiet and Brighton pier is too busy you'll love Eastbourne pier. Arcades, donuts, street drinkers nearby, a pub and a chip shop. It caters to everyone.

We spent the day in Eastbourne on our recent holiday to Susses, and walked along the promenade. We came to the pier and decided to have a wander around for nostalgia sake on my part certainly. It had been many years since I had been on the pier and it was good to revisit it and see how it was holding up. Quite well I thought. I had fond memories of visiting the Victorian tea room with its ostentatious chandeliers. Great views of course and we spent some time watching surfers near the pier. Well worth a visit.

Disappointing. Not allowed to take your own flask and sandwiches on there. Good view of the coast and seafront from the end. Preferred the silver domes that were there before. Now looks rather tacky.

First visit to Eastbourne for a long time and in the month of February. Parking was cheap but does increase in the summer months. First impression was how clean the area was and the amount of sea front hotels. If a hotel was in need of a spruce up it was happening. If you like to walk you should make a day of it, you have the sea front walk or head up to the cliffs. The pier has all you expect, slots, games, ice cream, chips and a bar. I image this is a very busy place in the summer months. We walked the sea front, lots of seating available to admire the views. Don't forget your 20p for the toilet (think they should have paid me to use them, yuk!)

I'm glad they restored the pier, but it is a bit boring there's nothing to do, the arcades are a massive waste of money, the claw machines are so loose they'd never pick anything up. There needs to be more to do. The Victorian tea rooms are nice though.
