A very blustery day when we visited ,was glad to get into a lovely cafe on the pier where we had homemade cake and brilliant hot chocolate while sheltering from a heavy shower of rain. Will visit in summer next time.

Must visit the pier. Looks very well kept and a lovely tea room makes the visit worth while. Gift shops are very reasonable and lots of interesting glass to buy.

A great example of what a dedicated person can do, restore a Pier, an example to any town council, power to your elbow SIR.

I miss the old arcade amusements, but since they transformed atlantis into the arcade, it's a good replacement for now! I hope they make it bigger with options to win tickets and some of the old machines replaced. Maybe less jackpot machines and more music/dance machines?

the renovated pier has a good look about it from the shore -- well renovated and very pleasant to explore.
apart from the usual pier attractions , there is an attractive tea shop that caters for afternoon teas , cream teas etc,-- it is only a short walk to the end of the pier where there is a large seating area , shielded if it is windy and is a good place to relax on a sunny day.
at the moment there is no charge to enter the pier and well worth a visit.

Still OK, but probably in need of a little modernisation. Tired looking in some places.
