I love bad taste and this it. Bright fake gold paint, chandeliers Disney would be proud of and cold wind whipping over the boards. Signs telling you what you can't do and more cold wind at the end. Go back the way you came, the lee side. The cafe as organised as a wool tangle. What's not to like?

It's a typical chintzy pier, bit too much going on for us but we'll used and appreciated by those who like tearooms. Not ideal for quiet reflection out to sea, you could fish at the end not sure if you still can.

Had s lovely walk watching the gardener s planting the flowers for summer which should look beautiful.Walked on the pier,not been on for many years,very impressive.

Classy, not cool. No music, just calm and quiet. Not quite a skateboarders showoff ramp. A normal walk by the seaside. With flowers - rows of tulips as company. Imperial architecture, facing the shore. Evening lights bedeck the long walk of the pier. Musicals are staged in the nearby band stand. Boring to some. Fabulous to some others. Take your pick
