Eastbourne Education Business Partnership – Inspiring Futures

The Eastbourne Education Business Partnership (EEBP) is a local charity dedicated to connecting education with business across Eastbourne and East Sussex.

Its mission is to inspire young people, enhance employability skills, and help schools and colleges bring real-world learning into the classroom.

Working closely with Eastbourne Borough Council, East Sussex College, and the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, the EEBP helps young people prepare for the workplace while supporting local employers to invest in future talent.

By creating meaningful partnerships between schools and businesses, Eastbourne EBP aims to strengthen both the community and the local economy, through a series of annual education-based events.

Two highlight events for the charity are Eastbourne Youth Radio (EYR) – celebrating 25 years in 2025 and The Big Futures Show, celebrating 9 years in 2026.

Eastbourne Youth Radio is a vibrant, three-day live broadcast on 87.7 FM and online, produced by students aged 5–19 from schools across the area. It gives young people the chance to run their own radio shows, interview local business leaders, and explore issues that matter to them. Backed by over 40 local sponsors, EYR builds confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a fun, hands-on way.

The Big Futures Show is Eastbourne’s annual careers, education and training event — the largest of its kind in East Sussex.

Hosted at Eastbourne Sports Park, the event welcomes students, parents, job seekers and employers for a full day of networking, workshops and interactive stands.

Through the programme of events for schools - Eastbourne EBP bridges the gap between education and employment — giving young people the experience, confidence, connections and knowledge they need to thrive in their future careers.
