We enjoyed the Wednesday night,Tchaikovsky 1812 overture show. The silver band played superbly and the conductor led well and cracked a few corkers!
The firework finale was a lovely surprise on a drizzly summers evening.

During our stay in Eastbourne, we booked to see "The Fab 4" (Beatles tribute).
Great show, great venue (if it doesn't rain!)

Recently went to a concert here to see Toyah. Very pleasant atmosphere in intimate venue. The bars were reasonably priced. I would recommend the middle tier as in the lower area although closer to the stage you are looking up to the stage. From the middle tier you get a comfortable view of the stage.

We went to see the Lionel Ritchie tribute show which was fab and were particularly impressed with the service we had at the ticket office.
Although we had previously set up an account on line and(we thought) paid for tickets to be left at the door it transpired that we hadn't actually completed the transaction successfully.as was politely explained by the young man,the website doesn't accept payments after 6pm-only in Eastbourne would you find a website that works 9-5,we were flabbergasted when he offered us two complimentary tickets.
The bandstand offers a unique night out with everyone seemingly tucking into fish and chips from Harry Ramsdens and washing them down with a glass(or bottle) of vino or pint of beer and generally having a good time on the dance floor as well. w A wide range of acts appearing most weekends during the summer(weddings on Saturdays)and other concerts out of season.

For the fourth consecutive year we have come to Eastbourne to watch and listen to British Legion Central Band for a whole week (9 concerts). They really are very very good. Each concert lasts between 1 hour 30 and 2 hours and each one is different. At a cost of £30.80 for all of the week's concerts is very good value indeed. The conductor, David, is also entertaining and sometimes amusing. We will definitely be back again next year.

Came to see Toyah in concert during Airbourne. The show was brilliant but so was the way the Bandstand was organised.
Although fairly full there was adequate seating, perhaps a little too cosily packed together, sound system was good and a reasonably priced bar.

Fantastic evening watching Toyah. Decck chair seating surprisingly comfy. Get there early for a good seat - warning being at the front in front of stage not necessarily the best as people get up and dance. Take a cardy for chilly evenings. Very little rain cover.
But watching a live band on a summers evening on the beach is fabulous.

I booked 10 tickets for the Lionel Richie Tribute Band at The Bandstand as part of a birthday weekend celebration. The venue was packed at 7.30pm; the atmosphere was buzzing even before the music started. The artist, Hamilton Brown, resembled Mr Richie in looks; the voice was good but a little patchy. However, his energy and ability to engage and motivate the crowd was brilliant. Well done to Hamilton and his "Commodores" and the staff at The Bandstand.

My wife and i have just returned from a perfect weeks entertainment by the Central Band of The Royal British Legion. The nine concerts were excellent value for money. It is however to the cleanliness of the bandstand in general that we would wish to complain. My wife and i are friends of the bandstand, and have been for many years now. We have been attending this concert for at least the past eight years and have noticed the gradual deterioration in the cleanliness of the seating area's. We noticed that dirt and rubbish had not been cleared from the previous day. It is a pity that, as this bandstand claims to be the busiest in Britain, that it could not be cleaned after each concert. I appreciate that much has been done to the stand, but much more needs to be done if its success is to continue. We will continue to be Friends of the Bandstand, but look forward to seeing an improvement in the cleaning department.

Very good show Adele Tribute - a lovely outdoor, beachside venue - we were lucky to have a fine evening although it can be a bit cold once the sun has set. Folks danced and the relaxed atmosphere made it a night to remember.

Recently visited eastboune and having been told about the bandstand decided to pay it a visit. The number and variety of acts booked was extremely impressive. Most days throughout our stay something was happening. There were some "famous" name tribute acts appearing, Rod Stewart, Adele Michael Buble to name a few.If planning to visit eastbourne i would suggest you go along

Attended the Rod Stewart tribute show on Friday 7 August, which seemed to be enjoyed by most of the audience but left a lot to be desired. We sat downstairs initially but every few minutes there was a stomach turning stench of urine. I don't know where this was coming from, if there were nearby drains or toilets and the staff member we mentioned it to said he was new and couldn't shed light on it. We sat upstairs, outside and actually had a better view. Lovely place if there is a good show on but wouldn't recommend this act and would like to know where the awful smell was coming from and if it could be stopped.

First time in Eastbourne so didn't know what to expect. Lovely. The promenade was great, so much going on. The band stand, the gardens, pier and of course the beach(Peebles). The big plus for me was all the shops are in the town, which left the front was left for hotels, restaurants and cafes. Pure bliss.

What a fabulous evening sitting around the bandstand with your gin and tonic listening to a wonderful brass band playing music from films such as James Bond, Mary Poppins, Lawrence of Arabia, Pirates of the Caribbean etc. They finished off with the 1812 Overture complete with fireworks. Well worth seeing.

We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. Plenty of great evenings spent toe tapping to the music and watching others dance away the night. They offer a huge variety of genres too.

my friend and i booked tickets to see a George Michael Tribute Band. The bandstand was ideal and was a very good show there is a small bar and under cover seating which unfortunately we had to use as that evening we had thunder and lightning and heavy rain but still a lovely atmosphere with people dancing under cover and also in the rain .The only downside was the toilets you had to go outside and up stairs to the pier tolilets

This was an evening concert for us to remember daytime concerts there many years ago with our parents. The semi-circular bandstand is charmingly decorated and we were lucky to sit in the covered area of the arena. There had been rain shortly before the performance, so that the seats outside were wet. The staff at the bandstand solved this by handing out black plastic sacks for the people to sit on. The band was very good and finished with the Tschaikovsky 1812 overture, accompanied at the end by a stirring show of fireworks. The bar serves either soft or alcoholic drinks, or hot tea and coffee.

We really enjoyed the big band concert on the bandstand on the Thursday evening of our stay in Eastbourne. The seats were comfy and there was a small bar too, so we could have a drink whilst we listened to the very good band.
