Great friendly atmosphere, although wish they had covered mike to prevent sound of wind going through speakers.

The hotel we stayed in was just opposite, but although you could hear the music if you wanted to, if you didn't you could turn on the television and watch "Strictly.." just as easily 😄

I have been coming to Eastbourne for a weekend with friends in mid to late October for many years.
When we first visited, the bandstand was packed away as the summer season was finished however it now seems to be operating for much longer with a season stretching from April to late October.
The audience needs to well prepared as there is very little shelter from the elements.
The building itself is a wonderful example of art-deco dating from the 1930s.
Throughout the season a wide range of different performances are put on and I must admit the Oasis tribute band last night were very good.

During the summer they have some great performances. These are tribute acts and can make for a great show.

Queen in September... The bandstand tried to blow up Brian in the wind and rain, but Freddy battled on... The crowd loved it and a great time was had by all despite the weather!!!

We looked around whilst it was being prepared for a night at the proms event.
A lovely location and the seating was set out well to afford the visitors a clear and unobstructed view.
They had fireworks at the conclusion of the concert that we could see from our hotel room further up the road which to be fair were a little underwhelming and brief.
But the venue looks good

I’ve been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed.

It’s a lovely venue and perfect for recitals and performances. They get all kinds from classical to comedy.

It’s advertised as the UKs busiest bandstand and I’m not surprised.

Go there folks!
