Kids had good fun. My 2 yr old was able to go on most of the rides. Especially the Hello Kitty rides. Will definitely come back again.

I've not been to Drusillas for about 25 years, since my own kids were small, but I went with our grandchildren on a wet and windy day. I knew that there had been some improvements but that would be an understatement, the zoo side is very similar, but the additional attractions are very much better. There is a large outdoor adventure playground and an indoor 'soft play' area too. Add to this the small train that you can hop on and off and the fairground attractions and this was a great day for the grandchildren. We saw signs to the dinosaur area, but didn't have time to drop in. There are a number of places to buy food and if it is dry you can take a picnic to eat. On the cost front the entrance is comparable with similar attractions and we benefitted from some vouchers to bring the price down, once in the park we didn't have to spend anything else, although you could buy food and there were some 'slot machine' attractions like water cannon that you could spend further money on.

If you are hoping to see the big five , then you will be disappointed . However , any such disappointment would be counteracted by the vast array of cute animals on display. The antics of the meerkats and the monkeys will leave you mesmorized. The anteater , the tropical animals, including the enormous python , and the unusual breeds of goat and sheep will leave with a lasting impression . You also have an opportunity to feed some very tropical and colourful birds- just watch out for the poo when they fly overhead ! Also the camels are very amusing animals to watch .

Finally, for the kids there is a funfair with some rides and play area .

On first impressions, this place may not look that large, but you will spend many relaxing hours getting close to and learning about nature .

If you have Tesco card, you can use the points which will make the place even better value .

And one last thing - if you like donuts , don’t miss and make sure you buy a pack of 12 warm , fresh donuts dipped in sugar and cinnamon . Your diet will just have to wait until tomorrow !

Great place to take young children, a good amount of animals to see and the play parks are in good condition. The rides are okay aswell. There is enough to do that you could spend a day here - however I would advise bringing a picnic as the food leaves a lot to be desired. Equally you could blitz round in a couple of hours and feel like you got the full experience as there isn't massive to do.

Review by Lily aged 8:
I did the zoo keeper for the day experience and I was amazed at how much you do and how kind the zoo keepers were.I got to feed the animals, clean out poo (which was a bit smelly), pet them and find out what their names were.my favourite animals were the sloth, the racoon, the monkeys, the penguins (which I fed), the fennec fox and the red panda.

Review by Charlotte (mum):
This was a present for Lilys birthday and it was one of the best days out we've had. The Drusillas zoo keepers (Julie was the main one) who took us around were super friendly and really helped us to understand the personalities of the animals, bringing the whole zoo to life. We got behind the scenes of the zoo, Lily measured and cut up the food for the day, then we went out on the rounds, feeding and cleaning them out. It was such a special day. Thanks so much Drusillas.

We had a great day out at Drusillas Park. The zoo is small, but lovely, and there is also a large adventure playground and fair rides to be enjoyed (inclusive). It did get incredibly busy and it was worth waiting until after lunch to do the zoo section so that we could see the animals better. You can easily do multiple loops around the zoo, so don’t try and see everything at the beginning with everyone else.

It was great to spend the afternoon here. Had so much fun and even though it was cloudy, we still got to see most of the animals out and about. We will have to come back aa we didn't manage to see most of the attractions. Great afternoon 😉

On the face of it, taking 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 3 to Drusilla’s for the day wasn’t cheap. But it was a treat and what a treat it was. So many animals to see with really helpful aids. I didn’t know the collective name for a collection of cockroaches
was an Intrusion- but it makes sense! Lots and lots of free rides. Hurray for the Cheetah ride, train and Hello Kittty rides. But what was the most memorable thing about the day was the helpful attitude of the staff. They were great! Thank you Drusillas. A great day.
