Fantastic, especially for the 2 to 11 years group.

My only concern is the Statue of Lion Opposite the camels. As humans, we know it's just a statue, but do the camels recognize that as a statue and make it worse, the sound of the lion. I would recommend removing the lion to somewhere else for any animals see it. Many thanks

We were a party ranging from 7 to 67 very able bodied and wheel chair user and every one enjoyed their visit and participated in everything they could and when they couldn't keep up with the younger fitter members of the party refresh themselves at one of the many eateries - bearing in mind the captive audience a little pricy really @ over £2 for a tea or ice-cream. But a very full fun and enjoyable day was had by all. Had to get a refund after the visit as if carer is needed the person needing assistance needs to prove they receive a government benefit for the carer to go in free. a blue badge is insufficient.
Would recommend to get to Drusillas early in order to fit everything in.

We attended Drusillas for a capybara and beaver feeding experience.
The zoo keeper was friendly and knowledgeable. And the experience was just brilliant. We have also, at a separate time, fed the red pandas, and that was also really lovely. I highly recommend the experiences and think they are very reasonably priced.

Moving on to the actual zoo; it's such a lovely place to visit, it doesn't have some of the bigger animals that you would get at a larger zoo, but it does have a good range from around the world. My personal favourites are the stunning lynx, the pretty serval, and the lemurs, which have an open walk through.
Although the real scene stealers this time were the baby pygmy mongoose. Which were so cute.

There are rides too, which are mainly aimed at younger children, so we didn't go on those.

It is wheelchair friendly and accessible, and you can have a free carer ticket with appropriate proof.

Although aimed at younger guests, it's still something the whole family can enjoy, which is why I've been going for over 30 years!

A great place to visit for a full day out - a really good range of animals and some fun rides included that are ideal for young children, plus a splash pad and great playground. They've added a few rides since we went a year or so ago. There's also a soft play which looked good, but we ran out of time to explore that too! All nicely thought out with a good route and lots of activities for different ages along the way.

We went just after the schools had started back and it was nice and quiet - the rides were working on a rotation system which worked really well.

One thing we wished was a bit better was that some of the enclosures felt small for the animals, some were fine but some we wished they had more space or at least to see some reassurance for those that don't have signs to that effect that they don't live in them full time.

We took a picnic this time as our previous experience has been that the food is expensive and not great.

Overall we had a great day and will definitely come back!

Wonderful day out, we have a membership and visit several times a year. Unfortunately some areas are closed due to maintenance and the division area is not wheelchair friendly as it’s very bumpy, my husband also tipped out twice. I called the day before and asked about the cafe near the water play area and was told it would be open but it wasn’t. The restaurant was very busy but food was lovely, I think the staff were a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was as they seemed a bit abrupt. Would have been a good idea as it’s still busy to have the other cafe open, But overall day was lovely and we loved seeing the baby sloth

We visited in August with our two girls aged 11 and 8. Given the price tag of over £100 for the four of us (pre-booked too!), we had high expectations (compare to major theme parks) and for the most part we were not at all disappointed. However Paulton's Park was comparably priced (maybe £30 more for tickets) and a much better experience.

Arriving around 11, the car park was already very full and there was very little direction as to where to park. There were toilets at the entrance - useful for small ones! Unfortunately after going through ticket checks everyone is funneled into a close indoors area which is really uncomfortable and seems like a poor design. The best thing you can offer people on entry to a zoo or park is space to pause, take stock and decide on a direction.

We continued on the zoo path but found it very busy so decided to veer off through the "short cut" to the rides and diner/cafe. After a couple of rides we encouraged the kids to have an early lunch at around 11.45am in the Explorer's Cafe. We were surprised at how little signage there was in the cafe - we found ourselves a table, I took a photo of the food offering that was on a poster near the food area as there was no menu on the table, and even that wasn't particularly clear since it seemed you could go up and choose what you wanted and would be charged accordingly. Of course it was all very expensive, too, but we weren't surprised by that and it was cheaper than other theme parks and some zoos. The food itself was pretty good.

We then used normal lunch time to visit the zoo and this worked out really well. We had much more space to move around and see the animals. The zoo is really lovely. It's not a "big animal" zoo but the animals that are there are clearly happy, with plenty of space to explore and play, and they seem completely relaxed around their human visitors. The meerkats, monkeys and fennec foxes were particular favourites! Lemurs were cool though we happened to visit when an encounter was going on so that had a negative effect on our experience.

We moved next to the adventure playground and splash park area. The adventure playground is really impressive and the children spent quite a bit of time playing there. More seating for parents would be helpful! We then got them changed for the splash park. We were surprised that there weren't any designated changing areas for kids. The splash park was great, really well equipped, and we were able to find seating at the side (and coffee nearby!).

After getting the girls changed back we hit up some of the shops. Unsurprisingly expensive, they both managed to find a soft toy within their pocket money budgets. We also visited the rides. Our girls aren't thrill-seekers and so they really enjoyed the offerings at Druilla's! We also went on the train ride around the zoo. This was incredibly disappointing. For toddlers the act of going on the train might be fun, but for older children it's naff, frankly, and we thought it was naff too. Needs improvement.

Youngest, however, had been eyeing up the "big slide" since she saw it, early on in our visit. This is one of the few "premium" rides and as others have said, at the price tag it is frankly ridiculous that there are activities in the park which are not included in the price tag. Nonetheless we paid for one child to go on the slide and the other to pan for gold. Child one had a great time on the slide, child two enjoyed panning but there was very little "gold" to be found (despite all the kids clubbing together to share their findings - which was lovely in itself) and it was meant to be swapped for a tacky medal at the end. Honestly I was tempted to tell her to hang onto her iron pyrite!

Overall we had a lovely day with all the things that our girls enjoy, and I don't want my grumbles to detract from that. There are, though, some areas for improvement and I hope that the Drusillas team take those comments as constructive. We would love to come back, and I can see that if you live nearby, an annual pass would be fantastic value.

The best zoo I have ever been. Much better than London zoo. Lots of animals in close distance. Restaurants and playgrounds for kids

Great theme park! Excellent rides for the young kids, arcades and small "coin" rides are all free which I think is a brilliant touch. Kids loved it even if it did rain the entire day we went!

Lots for kids of all ages to do, as well as the animal zoo.
My only criticism is there should be more healthy options for food choices, other than burger, sausage, chicken and chips. Healthy wraps and salads would be better.

As always, it was a brilliant time. It's been a couple of years since we were last here, and you can see the investment made over that time.
The animals all seemed well cared for, and all the keepers we spoke to were kind, friendly, and spoken passionately about the animals in their care.
The volunteers were engaging and knowledgeable.
Play areas, soft play (wonderfully cool on a hot day), rides, and especially the spash pad were a big hit with the kids (3, 6, 8)

Visited Drusillas and was thoroughly impressed!

The diversity of animals on display is captivating, and the close-up views make for an intimate experience. What stands out is the energy and liveliness of the animals, making it a truly engaging visit. The facilities are top-notch, well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. An added bonus is the array of activities for children – from funfair rides to parks and soft play areas. Highly recommended for a delightful day out!

Visited on ticket only event day, it was a great day out, kids enjoyed using the various activities that teach about the animals. No queue for any rides or splash park, a really good outdoor play area, and when it rained lots of places to shelter and an indoor play area. Great price for a great day enjoyed by everyone in our group young and old.
