Cru is a cosy, intimate place located in the basement. The staff are welcoming and friendly and offer great service. We went on Sunday when Cru features roasts and they were terrific - tasty and filling. Definitely worth a return visit.

Had a loverly meal. Would definitely return, great food, wonderful staff. Just missing 1 star as the buliding is a little tired, hot and a bit messy. Dont let this put you off, cant wait to return. Thanks guys.

One of the best meals I've had in a restaurant ever. My scallops especially were sublime. From taking our reservation through to the service at the table everyone was helpful, charming and friendly. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely return soon.

We were staying by the cost for a weekend and chose Cru based on reviews and personal recommendation by a local. The food was absolutely delicious and service top notch. It was Saturday night and the place was buzzing. Would definitely go back if we go back to Eastbourne. Thank you Cru!

One of, if not the, very best in Eastbourne. The food is out of this world and the atmosphere and customer service is perfect. Top class food in a classy but not snobby environment. Absolutely brilliant. Hardy knows his wines and found me the perfect bottle. We spent 4 hours there and loved every minute. Massive compliments to everyone there. Can't wait to go back!

What a lovely find in Eastbourne, superb wine list as well as an in house Sommelier. The food was exceptionally good, and with good sized portions. The Chilli Prawn dish was sublime, with the juiciest plumpest prawns and the sauce was delicious. The burger was superb, very tasty and well presented. My husband had the halibut and was very impressed with this. We would definitely return.

Not only was this an excellent meal, but they were able to accommodate us after I (stupidly) made a booking error (accidentally booked for the wrong day).
The local bass carpaccio (special), the Thai hand-dived scallops and the halibut main were lovely. The short rib was exceptional and the padron peppers were delicious (with a very generous portion).
The staff have all been excellent. The sommelier was very knowledgeable about the local (local) Sussex wines and the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful.

Having moved from South West London during lockdown and being in an area most companies don't deliver.... we found our amazing Fix and saviour - Cru!! Cru delivered stunning gourmet food to our door and being foodies, this really kept us going! We were delighted to visit Cruz in person and discover that food is just as amazing and is made even better by the gracious and generous hosts Jordan and Hardy. A must eat at place in Eastbourne and Sussex!

The food was amazingly good (credit to the chef) full of flavour and beautiful presentation.
Great selection of wines to pair with your food. An all round great experience, only wish we could of reserved a dinner table too! I guess another reason to return.

The staff was so attentive and informative. They were really responsive to anything we asked. The food was delicious!!! If back in Eastbourne we will be back 100% and also advise friends to go there!
