Children With Cancer Fund: Granting Wishes, Creating Memories
Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF) is a small but impactful charity based in Polegate, supporting children with cancer and their families throughout East Sussex, Brighton and Hove. Since 1998, CWCF has helped hundreds of families by granting wishes, from the practical to the magical, and offering emotional and community support through every step of their journey.
The wishes are guided by the children, families and community nurses themselves. Whether it's theatre trips, laptops, spa days, dishwashers or giant teddies, each wish helps create a moment of joy and connection when it is needed most.
Popular services include:
Wish granting for children and families during cancer treatment
Family holidays in dedicated caravans
Group outings and fun days to build connection and support
Practical help with essential items like appliances
Emotional support through shared experiences
CWCF also organises annual short breaks and offers access to three fully equipped caravans, allowing families to spend meaningful time together away from the stress of treatment. The charity receives no government funding and is powered entirely by local fundraising, legacies and volunteers.
Awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2015, CWCF continues to bring smiles and strength to families across the region.
