I recently visited this care home with my Nan as they kindly offered us afternoon tea. Well what can I say! From the moment we arrived they made my Nan feel like royalty. She’s been very lonely recently and this is just what she needed. From the care facilities, food and general camaraderie was so evident all afternoon. My Nan can’t wait to come back and wants to stay longer next time. Well done mortain.

My aunt went into Mortain Place for respite and loves it so much that she decided to go back there to live. It is like a hotel with carers. She has her own large room with TV, ensuite wetroom/toilet and patio, 3 meals a day and the option to participate in a range of daily activities. It is expensive but she was not happy or safe alone in her home which she is now in Mortain.

I visited Mortain Place recently to enquire about care for my grandmother. I was very impressed with what I saw. The home is very clean and free from malodour. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the manager very knowledgeable and helpful.

I visited this remarkable care home today for a meeting to discuss how I can advise residents on paying for care (I'm a Chartered Financial Adviser specialising in later-life planning). I found the overall experience very positive. A bright, open, spacious, modern, comfortable, very clean and welcoming home. The staff were polite, professional and courteous. The grounds were well-kept, there is ample parking, it's easy to find and I can clearly see how everyone at Mortain Place are working to make sure all the current and future residents get the most from their stay. Recommended.

I visited this lovely home with my Mother with a view to her moving in there. From our initial telephone conversations to our visit and subsequent phone calls I cannot praise this place enough. The staff are all friendly, extremely kind and helpful and obviously really understand the care of the elderly. The rooms are large and beautiful and the communal areas are extremely welcoming and a great deal of thought has been put into the design of the building. It seemed like a 5 star hotel!
I would love my Mother to move in but sadly at the moment she feels she wants to stay in her own home.

The care and attention given by Karen and her team from front line carers to the team behind the scenes is exceptional. They will always go above and beyond to make sure my Father-in-law is well cared for. He loves being there and enjoys the attention that they all give him. Could not recommend the home more highly.

A really lovely new residential home next to Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne. Fantastic and engaging staff with such a welcoming manager. It's more of a hotel than a home and, from what I have seen of the residents and their families, a really happy place to be. I thoroughly recommend!
