First time here today. Stumbled upon the place whilst trying to escape the crowds in town. Very calm atmosphere and, perhaps most importantly, no Christmas music belting out of the speakers. I was dining with my wife, as well as my two small children. My children were made to feel especially welcome. The staff made a fuss over them both, and were happy to entertain then by pulling funny faces as my wife and I perused the menu. Then the food came. This place just continued to impress me. I ordered one of the Calzones and it was huge. It was accompanied by a delicious tomato sauce, a chilli infused oil and some pre-grated parmesan cheese in a bowl. I had already been provided with a special pizza knife and set about tucking into this magnificent feast. I had a very happy tummy by the time I was finished. This place ticked just about every other box too. The toilets were clean and well stocked. There was an outside area but, since it was December, we ate inside. The tables were roomy and the chairs were comfortable. The only slight niggle was that there are some steps that have to be negotiated upon entering the restaurant. They were fairly easy to overcome with a push-chair but could potentially pose a problem to anybody with mobility issues. That said, I didn't investigate any further and there might be another entrance or something. I'm sure that the staff would be willing to assist in any way that they could buy it could be worth calling first if you have any special needs that need to be addressed. Well done to all of the staff. You're clearly appreciated by your employers and this came across in the genuine level of excellent service that we received today. Thank you all very much.

We went to this restaurant for the first time last Friday with some friends who go regularly. What a great decision that was.
The restaurant is deceptively large, very welcoming and with a nice atmosphere.The staff were all very friendly and made us feel special.
The food was excellent, freshly cooked to order and very reasonably priced.We will definitely be back again.

Ate here recently midweek and was very impressed. Menu was extensive and packed full of Italian trattoria classics as well as a good selection of pizzas with authentic toppings. Settled on a pizza with creamy mascarpone and smoked parma ham which was delicious and was on a par with those pizzas I have eaten in Italy. Base was perfectly cooked and nicely charred around the edges. Staff were all fantastic and kept us topped up with drinks all evening. Price was also very reasonable
I did feel the restaurant could be better lit, and wasn’t a fan of the background music – it wasn’t intrusive, just not a fan of music in restaurants, each to their own I guess. However would highly recommend this place as is infinitely better than any chain Italian restaurant you will find on the High Street

Went on the back of the positive reviews and was not disappointed. We received a warm welcome and relaxed but attentive service throughout our meal. Great menu and proper home cooked Italian food - very fresh and well prepared. Our children were also made welcome and a good kids menu. There was a comprehensive wine list but have to say that the house white was very acceptable indeed. The greatest surprise was the bill - felt they must have left something off but turned out just to be fantastic value for money. A lovely meal in every way - if we lived in the area we would certainly become regulars.

This is our 5th visit to this amazing Italian restaurant. A very nice welcome from a lovely family. This Italian food is the best We've had. I had a freshly made pizza with a topping of tomato base , mozzarella,cured ham and basil.My wife had a spicy sausage risotto.For dessert we had Nutella pizza with a dusting of icing sugar.This was finished off with a complementary shot of delicious limoncello .

What a great place. Very traditional trattoria with great food, wine and service. The gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts was amazing and the Italian Sausage pasta was lovely. Everything tasted fresh, was full of flavour and not overcomplicated. Just perfect, really. Highly recommend and shame we live 100 miles away or we would be back at the drop of a hat!

I am Italian but i live in England from 2 years and I can say that this restaurant is a real authentic Italian Experience. I have been here several Times and never been disappointed, so that i took also my family visting from Italy and also they Said that this is one of the best. We tried a bit of everything and it was Great. The Carbonara was one of the best i ever had and the pizza was amazing.
