A fabulous pub with a great atmosphere always. The staff are so friendly and efficient, and the food is immense with the most accommodating menu in town! Thanks Ollie and team for a fabulous Christmas meal last night!

Fabulous Christmas staff outing for 11 of us. Really good food, excellent service and a warm welcome. Nice touch having Christmas crackers which benefitted The Trussell Trust. Highly recommended.

Since the new owners have taken over earlier in the year it has become a great pub. Good food and a lovely atmosphere. Also caters well to vegans (not that I am).

I have eaten at the Alexandra Arms several times now, never disappointed always very tasty and enjoyable, love the Voignier wine too.

You may have seen my previous review which was about a breakfast that we had been very disappointed with. Following this review, Heidi the owner of the Crown and Anchor contacted me. Her customer care could not have been more professional. Clearly this was an unacceptable experience and she wanted to do all she could to put things right.
Well I can confirm that we rebooked and have had the most wonderful complementary meal today. All of the food was amazing (rack of ribs), staff excellent in every way. I can honestly say that other companies could learn an awful lot from this ladies customer service. Thank you Heidi we will continue to recommend The Crown and Anchor to family and friends.

I went there last night with a friend... very pleasant evening. lovely lass called Charlitte served us. the food was perfect, and , as a cook by trade I can be a little difficult to please when eating out. very happy, well presented, fresh vegetables too... made sure I got hold of the Christmas menu too before I left... we will be back
