What Can We Do Around Corby This Easter?

Like everyone else, I'm sure you are looking forward to the Easter break and maybe you have already planned what you are going to do.

But keeping everyone happy can be a challenge in many families, especially if young children are involved, but you can't really go wrong if you first stick with some traditions and maybe then negotiate some compromises!

Having said that, the recent bad weather has made it more difficult this year, and if you haven't heard already:

'The Easter Sunday Funday' at East Carlton Park is CANCELLED

- a difficult decision taken by Corby Borough Council in the interests of safety, and due to the ground not being suitable after the snow and rain.

But On Easter Sunday 31st March and Easter Monday 1st April, some great family fun days are on at Rockingham Castle from 12 noon - 5pm - Children's Easter Egg Hunt (tokens in exchange for eggs), children's ‘witches and wizards’ search and family quiz, and lots more. Highly recommended for all the family.

Also, at the time of writing, The ‘egg’citement is still building at Little Stanion Primary School, as residents get ready to welcome Easter with their very own Fun Day from 12noon - 4pm on Saturday 30th March. Activities include Bouncy Castle, soft play, face painting etc and apparently it's all free! Little Stanion Village Association are hoping to meet lots of local residents, particularly new ones at the event to help establish good relations.

If you are into sport, there are loads of holiday activities offered by the council - look on their website for details - https://www.corby.gov.uk/node/25052

Of course, if you are happy to drive outside Corby, there is always the very popular Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair, at Kelmarsh Hall open to everyone on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday - gaining more popularity every year.

Or if you fancy a night out and a good meal, well, you are spoilt for choice but we recommend in particular, A Tasca Portuguese Restaurant, La Fonte Italian Restaurant, Ali's Indian Restaurant, Sondes Arms Pub, or The Green Dragon Pub.

All serve freshly cooked great food with personal service to match.

And if you're thinking of having a party, call in the food experts 'Six of Eight catering'.

They'll prepare and deliver a choice of great buffet meals for you and your guests so you too can enjoy the fun without all the hassle!

Look on the bestof Corby website for more events and activities, but keep an eye on the weather and maybe consider checking that your favourite event is still happening before travelling.

Whatever you do, have a great holiday weekend.
