You may remember that on Sunday 26th June (a fine warm and sunny day!), The Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Corby staged an "Around the World in a Day' event to raise money for disadvantaged young people.
Stephen Haselip has asked me to thank all The Best of Corby members who contributed and supported this event, and I am pleased to do so by publishing his letter below.

Sunday, the 26th of June 2011, saw Hilton in the Community Foundation's fifth 'Around the World in a Day' event at The Hampton by Hilton Corby. I am delighted to announce that thanks to the tremendous effort by all involved, we exceeded our target and went 'around the world' to help disadvantaged young people.
Through our fun day event we contributed 82 Kilometres and at this stage £775 has been pledged in funds for The Core at Corby Cube, with hopefully more still to come in.
It is fantastic that the event continues to grow year on year. This year alone over 90 hotels participated from 14 countries, allowing us through charity partners, to reach as many disadvantaged children as possible. I am sure all the monies raised from this event will contribute to a worthy cause and hope our friendship & partnership continues to grow.

Well done to Stephen and his team. It was a day of great fun and great music from the stage, and soooo lucky with the weather! I really enjoyed it.
