Chesterfield Canal Trust have a scheme ready to build the next stage of Staveley Town Lock, to connect up the bridge over the tail of the lock and to construct the first building.

It is less than a week, until the Olympic Torch arrives in Chesterfield (Friday 29th June) and we are very excited, here at Thebestof Chesterfield. The Olympicnics at Queens Park, will be a great celebration in the afternoon.
