Very disappointed with the food. I had calzone(which wasn't close to what we had in Italy). Then panacota with a sauce that was bitter and smelt like it was out of date for a long period. The only acceptable was tiramisu with pistachio which we could finish and the ice cream.
Really wanted to enjoy a proper Italian food, but disappointed.

Great Italian atmosphere and food. Delicious pizza, one of the best I've had. Very good menu, lots of choice including good vegetarian options.

If you love a family run Italian restaurant rather than a chain, you will love this restaurant that is always busy, lively and therefore noisy . The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and considering how busy they are, offering good service.
A good menu with very reasonable prices.

Popped in for BH Sunday lunch. I had food from the specials board and main menu and both were lovely. Staff were attentive without being too pushy. Whilst not the restaurant’s fault there was a large group who became too loud which did take the edge of slightly.

Here for the second night on the trot, as the first night was so good. Working away and it’s normally hard to find a local restaurant that does both great food and excellent service. If you like top Italian food and you’re in the Chelmsford area, I couldn’t recommend this any more.

Chose this as a place to meetup with a friend for a meal after shopping in Chelmsford. I would advise you to book a table as though it is deceptively empty early evening it quickly fills up as is very popular with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a pizza after discussing my sugar allergy with the waiter who immediately checked with the chef. The pizza dough does not contain any sugar or glucose and the chef was able to make a different tomato sauce without added sugar. The freshly made pizza was delicious, reasonably priced and a generous size.
I would recommend this place particularly if you have food allergies as the food is freshly prepared and the chef can advise of the ingredients used. The restaurant is located close to the train station and bus terminal so is convenient for meeting up with friends and family.

Having heard good reports, I must admit to being a tad disappointed. The food was ok but not exceptional, the service was quite good especially given how busy it was and the atmosphere was - noisy. Not somewhere for a quiet romantic meal but fine for a quick bite before going to the theatre. Definitely need to book for a Fri/Sat evening. I just found it a bit fraught, but perhaps it’s better for a lunchtime meal.

Lovely staff, food terrible, prawn cocktail was small frozen cold prawns with squirty sauce in top, chicken Milanese just horrible fried with awful spaghetti , I’m not sure these are
Italians that run the place , won’t be going back

What a find. A really lovely authentic Italian, so much nicer than the usual chains. Super friendly service, decent wine, fabulous food, super clean everywhere and really reasonably priced. All six of us were impressed. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic for food and service . Have been several times. We didn’t book but they managed to squeeze us in as a couple on a Saturday night. It was really busy but was still completely looked after. Food was amazing. We had lasagna, which I highly recommend.worth a try you will not be disappointed.
