Fantastic for food and service . Have been several times. We didn’t book but they managed to squeeze us in as a couple on a Saturday night. It was really busy but was still completely looked after. Food was amazing. We had lasagna, which I highly recommend.worth a try you will not be disappointed.

We have tried to book a table here a few times, finally success! The food, atmosphere, great service and great food, well worth the wait. Very varied menu. Already planning another visit.

Was in Chelmsford, and did not know where it eat, this restaurant was conveniently placed.
Was busy in there but the maître D got us a table. We did not have time for starter or dessert sadly.
But the staff were friendly and the food really good, there is nothing I could fault.
The mark down was because no one check if the food was ok or offer my drinks.
Top restaurant give it a try!

We went to Il Palazzo in Chelmsford for our Sons 21st Birthday. The Staff were Attentive and Friendly. The Food was delivered to our Table in a timely manner and it was Delicious. Would Highly Recommend this Restaurant.

I've visited a couple of times and the food has always been excellent. It has a calm relaxed atmosphere, so its perfect for a chilled conversation over dinner. Everyone that works there is incredibly friendly and welcoming, I'd definitely recommend.

This is just a lovely little Italian restaurant. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent and it's not expensive. Plenty of food options other than pasta and pizza - but plenty of those too. Would highly recommend the place, easy to get to (opposite the bus station and 120m from the main train station.

Five of us enjoyed a very good celebratory annual meal at Il Palazzo just before Christmas at lunchtime. We felt very well welcomed, the service was attentive without being obvious, and every dish we ordered was delicious, and very well cooked. There was a very good range of choices on the menu and we'll definitely be going back!

Passed this restaurant many times in rush hour over the years on the way to and from the train station and its location is opposite the bus station, but never ventured inside. Booked for the two of us as we do love Italian food.

This restaurant also caters for those who want a meal and then onto the theatre afterwards so it advisable to book in advance. Now we've tried it we shall be back as Chelmsford lacks a decent restaurant and we are fed up with pubs offering the same fare.

A good variety on the menu and wine not too pricey. There is a pre theatre menu but we went for the main one which seemed to work out cheaper.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who use it. We needed lunch for 30 teenage boys and they came up trumps! The food was excellent, service exemplary and everyone had a super time. Thank you for helping us out.

Excellent food at very good prices, and in a convenient location within Chelmsford. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious (I highly recommend the Bistecca alla Fiorentina), and this restaurant represents exceptional value for money in the current climate.
It is very loud inside, to the point where it is hard to hear someone sitting directly opposite you unless they raise their voice, and this is a negative point - but it is the only one I could mention. We will definitely be back (but maybe not on a Saturday evening this time!)

First visit last night with my wife.. What a gem of a find this place is. The food is amazing the service is second to none and the authentic atmosphere is the cherry on the cake. One of the best restaurant’s I’ve visited in Chelmsford City Centre. See you again soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
