A customer, Mrs S, called into the Brighter Blinds Showroom Bury and asked, “Is there any type of blind that will help save me money on my energy bill?”

The simple answer is that placing any type of blind at a window will only help to retain some heat, some blinds are more effective than others, likewise some fabrics are also more effective than others! Rob showed Mrs S some more sophisticated fabrics that have various backings such as SPC (Solar Protective Coating) and Fabric that blocks up to 100% of all UV as alternatives. Following on Rob showed Mrs S other Blinds that are also effective and attractive, Pleated Blinds, Honeycomb Pleated Blinds that some people refer to as Hive, Duette, Double Pleat etc all of which are proven to be extremely effective for heat deflection and retention and are known within the Blind Industry as the ‘Energy Saver Blinds’!
