HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - SUBJECT TO A COUPLE OF ISSUES WITH THE HEALTH CLUB.
Very difficult times as we were staying during the Christmas week in the middle of a serious Covid pandemic situation. In such trying circumstances we thought the hotel did a fantastic job looking after us. The staff on reception and at the breakfast bar (and also the cleaners) were absolutely superb. So helpful and friendly. Thank you. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The electric heater was really effective and the TV was very good.
The showers in the health club were apalling. I trained in the gym 5 times and on each occasion there were empty drinks bottles on the floor inside the shower cubicle and the floor was mucky. On my final visit there was a plastic bottle and a chewed orange with all its peel on the floor inside the shower. Absolutely disgusting that anyone should think it is acceptable to do this in the first place but it seems clear the cleaning regime in this area was not up to scratch. I also found it disappointing that several gym members treat the sanitizer as their own personal belonging. On most of my visits it was often difficult to find a sanitizer as members were carrying them around from station to station. It is clear from the notice on the wall that there is a recognition this is happening so surely such selfish behavior should be stamped out.

Room 106 had empty food containers left in a drawer from the previous occipants, which left drawer dirty and smelly. cobwebs on ceiling, radiator was dirty with tea/coffee stains. Only 1 pillow each on the bed. No view out of room and it's too expensive for what we got. But I will stay again but want a room with a view. Stayed in September in room 126 and it was excellent and clean. Staff are always lovely and friendly.

Room facilities where above what we would have expected for the price. Meet and greet where excellent Bar staff also made feel very welcome Breakfast was good parking is good location very good being just off the motorway.
