We booked one of the conference rooms for a work event. Asha was very helpful and made the experience a positive and relaxing one for us! Would definitely recommend and will be using the services again for sure.

I booked the Village Hotel for a large event of around 120 people. The venue was lovely, the food was great and the location was perfect. The staff needed prompting and were slow to set up on the actual date of the event - hence the reason this is not 5 star. However the event was enjoyed by everyone so no major problems. The actually booking and arrangement of the event was really easy - the event planner at The Village was absolutely fabulous and made the whole experience really easy - a big thank you goes to Jessica Greenbank!

Great stay with friendly staff. Well located if you like a walk into town, free parking, good food. Efficient check in and check out system, decent choice for breakfast, rooms was suitably equipped, comfy beds. Location great for Bury centre if you like walking and access to metro into Manchester (£4.90 for day rover anywhere on the system) It seemed impossible to open the coffee sachets!! Needed a sharp knife/scissors!! Rooms in corridor shut with big bang and some guests seemed ignorant of this.

Booked a business meeting here and then asked about rooms. For a direct booking they wanted 50% more so opted to go through Hotels.com. No one on reception when I arrived so used the automatic check in process. Not a fan of this as it does not create a great impression on arrival. Very dark in the reception area. Also a £5 charge for parking. Really, for an out of town hotel. Rooms also very dark.

We held a workshop in the business centre which was expertly managed on the day by Nikita. Great facilities, catering and nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel room was nice but something needs to be done about the window. It wouldn’t close properly and I could hear a dog barking for hours.

Overall a very good stay in clean, well thought out facilities. Customer service was great.

Pleasant There was an event that I attended to so that was a bonus did not need to leave the building. The room was alright and clean and I liked that it had a seal as poof it has been cleaned/ sanitised. The bathroom was nice also. The lift wasn't working at the time so had to carry my luggage. For the value, the room was a bit pricy and it's probably because there was an event going on.

The Village hotel is truly amazing, it has the best classes, the nicest clientele. The gym is state of the art with great Pts if you wish to train with one. Gina and Gabrielle in memberships are lovely and are always on hand to help out. Jack is great in the pub too.

We had a fantastic night raising much needed funds for our wonderful families at Reuben's Retreat. Leading up to the event we had the brilliant Jessica Greenbank organising our event, nothing was ever too much trouble for her, she was always at the other end of the phone/e-mail to answer any of our questions and arrange all the wonderful things we had planned for the night. It really wouldn't have been the night it was without her input. Thank you Jess.

We use the village for multiple different events from training to live broadcasts. The best part of the village hotel is the team that work so hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. Joanne is always proactive and organised when it comes to booking the requirement, communication is key and Joanne is a master at it. Also the brilliant unflappable Jamie-Lee, who without most of our events would have been a disaster. And last but no means least Sarah the reception manager, always happy to help with the smallest details.

What can I say about the Village Hotel we went to a cabaret tribute act for Take That. It consists of a Three Course Meal, disco before the act & then the main act which was three men. They did a great entertainment of the Take That act the dance floor was not empty all night. The food was well organised by the staff well done to them. Nobody was left waiting the staff came round a lot checking to see all was ok The Hotel part & cabaret room was super clean. Once again a big thank you we will be back for more.

Attended with a group of 8 people. The food was served hot and promptly and the staff at the venue were happy to meet dietary requirements booked in advance and all worked out well. We all enjoyed our evening of music and dancing. A slight downside was the bars were quite busy and we heard that they had a few staff off sick that night. Otherwise, we will definitely book another night.

Good for a one night stay. Location is good Big spacious rooms and large bathroom Good breakfast Lots of parking space Comfortable bed Good shower pressure and toiletries Not ideal for any one disabled. Lift from car park is hidden in the dark and with a raised curb. The bathroom has slippery flooring when wet. Pillows are rock hard and not comfortable. Bed very creaky but very large and conformable mattress. The rooms need a bit of TLC. Cigarette burns on our bathroom door and the paint work is shabby. Maybe that's why the lights are very dim in the room - no bright central light so very dark.
