Our second annual party night at the Red Hall. Another fabulous evening enjoyed by all. Service and food was fantastic. Special mention to the two young bar attendants who worked hard all evening and nothing was too much trouble. Well done. Same again next year :)

Our party of four thought that the Chefs and staff really excelled themselves by providing a superb dinner with proficient service from the waiters/waitresses. The previously ordered wine, for our table, was very good and not overly priced; however, the optional midnight Champagne could have done with a reduction of a few pounds—but it still went down very well!

The function room was beautifully dressed and looked very inviting. A quality ‘paper hat’ for each diner was available, which certainly made a big difference from those obtained from a cracker!

The DJ was lively and interested in all the guests—he really brought the evening alive with his charming manner and ready smile.

Our two rooms were situated at the rear of the hotel overlooking countryside. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. The furniture and carpets looked a little jaded and maybe in need of replacing.

Breakfast was served by attentive staff, but as it had been advertised as a ‘brunch’ we were expecting a little more choice other than Continental or traditional English breakfasts - possibly scrambled egg with smoked salmon, Bucks Fizz, hot red meat and potatoes—to name but a few! This would have completed and enhanced an otherwise well thought out event.

What really makes the Red Hall Hotel outstanding is the exceptionally pleasant and obliging staff throughout the various areas of service, from the Sales & Events Manager and her team, the room bookings with the Reception team, bar staff and then the dinner service—could not fault it. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

our party stayed in 3 rooms all of which were very clean and nicely presented. one consisted of a wet room with no bath and after a shower the bathroom was flooded!! during the night the rooms were very hot with one room having to listen to the heating banging all night!
the party night was a funny set up we could not see or hear the DJ as he was in a seperate room! we moved a table and some chairs to sit in the bar area next to the DJ the DJ was very good playing all sort of different eras.
the meal itself was very nice but the xmas pud was a little bland!!
the breakfast was a bit of a disater! we waited ages to be served then another half hour for our tea and coffee when the breakfast order came some orders were wrong! and the poached eggs were freezing!! we did return them and money was deducted from our bill! there was also a long black hair in the bowl of yogurt which put us right off!!! food staff should be wearing a hat with long hair tied back!! although we enyoyed the evening i dont think we would choose to book again.
the hotel is situated in a lovely area with great views and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

An overnight stay at what was, otherwise, an enjoyable experience, was marred by a noisy wedding reception. We had had this problem at a previous stay, but by switching from a Saturday booking to one on Sunday, we thought we had the solution. There was no indication when we checked in, but when we returned in the evening after visiting family and friends, we were met with lots of wedding activity. We are no killjoys, but were annoyed by noisy young people racing along the corridor outside our room until after midnight. As we had left home early in the morning to make the journey North and had had a tiring day, it was the last thing we needed!
It was a shame that it spoilt our stay, as the accommodation and food was of a high standard and the staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed at the Red Hall on 19th December 2015 for a Christmas Party from work, we had been to various functions at this hotel over the years and all had been good.

Arrived at approximately 6pm and was checked in very easily. The room was small, but more than adequate for an overnight stay. I would call the bathroom ‘functional’ rather than anything else. There was plenty of towels and soap, shampoo etc. the room had enough wardrobe space and a flat screen TV with all usually ‘freeview’ channels. The only other comment I would say would be that the bathroom which was very warm, with no obvious way of turning the radiator off, and the shower screen was virtually useless, which meant when the shower was on, water went everywhere meaning that after a short time the bathroom floor was flooded !!!!!!!.

The Christmas Party itself was very good, food was nice (x-mas pudding slightly bland), DJ was OK but didn’t play a single Christmas song (it was a Christmas party !) bar prices were a bit on the expensive side, but you sort of expect that in a hotel.

Went to bed in the early hours after a night cap in the bar, all in all a nice evening.

In the morning went down for breakfast, which consisted of the usual; cereals, fruit yogurt, full English breakfast, and toast etc. The choice was not huge, and the service wasn’t the best, but I’ve stayed in hotels which are a lot worse.

Later checked out and the guy on the front desk tried to charge us more than they had quoted in their e-mail, but quickly amended the bill when this was pointed out. (Found out later they had charged another member of our group a lot more!!!)

So all in all, a good night out, a few issues, but for the price paid quite good value.

Spent a night in here, however, the radiator had been turned off and consequently arriving at 8pm I had to work for over an hour with my coat on until it warmed up. Free WIFI was very beneficial and allowed me to complete my work and emails etc.

There was everything you needed in the room along with a large tv, plus a nice bathroom and power shower. You can unfortunately also hear the water and toilet being used next door.

I didn't have breakfast since at £12 found it a tad on the expensive side but I also had an early start. So I cannot comment on either Oscars restaurant or anything in the food department.

The guys here got it just right, nice friendly smiley happy staff from checking in, through to us leaving(every member of staff we saw smiled and said hello).

Nothing was too much trouble, they even have cucumber to be served with my favourite gin. The food was even better than the last time I stayed and the waiting staff were so attentive and smiley without it being annoying.

Looking forward to staying here next time we are in the area.

Thanks

Stayed over here for a wedding, nice bedrooms, fair price, lovely helpful staff. Ate in the restaurant the night before and enjoyed the food. The wedding ceremony was held here and the room was lovely. Head of housekeeping, Lindsay was very kind, and let us keep our room for a couple of extra hours, as we had a bit of a family emergency.
Bar and reception staff excellent, helpful, kind and considerate
Would recommend.

I couldn't fault the service at the Red Hall for our Christmas night out, we were a party of 21 and there were lots of other large groups there too. We didn't need to queue at the bar, the organisation re booking the night was efficient and the service and food/presentation were good. Well done the Red Hall and thank you!

Clean, modern, gorgeous bathroom. Lovely matching furniture.
Comfy bed!
Minimal noise from outside however noisy people in hall way can be heard.
Can not hear room neighbours.
Check out at noon.
We didn't stay for breakfast nor did we try the gym.

I stayed here with my partner, just for a night away from the Kids, very last minute, so choice was limited, we were recommended to try Red Hall, and it was local.

Staff very friendly, meal and restaurant was great, and very stylish, and a really good nights sleep was had (but maybe that was down to having no stressful kids for a night) Also it is well located for the motorway which was handy.

I recently visited Red Hall for a short break whilst visiting family. ON my arrival I had a very warm welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for me. I then choose to eat at there restaurant there called Oscars and the food was second to none.
The rooms had everything I needed and were clear and well kept.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would defiantly stay there again.

I attended a board meeting at the Red Hall in September. The hotel is very easy to reach from the motorway networks. The room was more than ample to for 15 people in a board meetings style layout. The aircon kept the temperature just right, although the lighting could have been a bit better. The room was clean and we were provided with the usual refreshments. Best of all of course is after the meeting, there is a top restaurant downstairs.

The hotel itself was lovely, nice clean rooms and comfy beds. Good selection of teas, coffe and hot chocolate in the room. We had lovely quiet double room at the back facing the grass so no car park noise. We were greated with a smile at reception and the check in was fast and efficient. The only minor issue was the shower screen was quite small so ended up almost flooding the bathroom. There was a wedding party there the night we stayed and there were around 10 children just running around and playing the hotel reception. It didn't really bother us as we were going out for the evening, it just stuck me as being a bit of a hazzard (I felt more sorry for the receptionist being stuck with loads of noisy kids).

All in all a nice place to stay and i would return if we were to find a good deal.

Attended my nephews wedding on Friday at the Red Hall and having never been before didn't know what to expect. The room looked beautiful and from start to finish the staff couldn't have been better, even though they were very young they were fantastic especially the guys behind the bar. The food was delicious and served really well. One of the best weddings I have ever attended and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous shower and then onto breakfast which was delicious with a great selection and again very friendly staff-only sorry that it was a one night stay and we couldn't stay for longer-highly recommended!!!

We've just returned from the Red Hall after a lovely night away.
We were booked in for the Date Night which is the last Friday of the month. The deal included a 3 course evening meal from a set menu (there were 2 choices for each course and a choice of a bottle of red, white or rose wine), an overnight stay and breakfast for £99 per couple. Alternatively you can just have the meal for £40 per couple.
On arrival the check in was fast, friendly and smooth. Our room was 23 on the first floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the hills, the room was spotless, well maintained and decorated to a high standard (ample tea and coffee, tv, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, notepad and all the usual toiletries you hope are there.) There's also plenty of pillows and extra blankets in the room, not that we needed the blankets as the room was quite warm.
The hotel looked like it had full wheelchair access

Our meal was booked for 7.30, we were greeted in the restaurant and promptly shown to our table, all the staff were extremely welcoming. The meal was absolutely excellent, everything was hot and was really well presented. Portion size is what you would expect from a restaurant of this quality. You leave feeling full but not uncomfortably so.

There was also a saxophonist playing a little background music to add to the ambience.

Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice.
Numerous fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit, croissants etc. Then followed up with Full English, toast, marmalade and an abundance of tea or fresh coffee.

Overall, a fantastic night away which I couldn't fault if I tried. We'll definitely be booking again, hopefully in the not to distant future.
