My friend recently got married here.
It was absolutely beautiful.
The food was brilliant and the rooms were lovely.
The breakfast was tasty in the morning too!
I come here often for meals with my family and we all love it.

Great place for a meal, a wedding or a stay.

Just got back from a wonderful afternoon with friends at Oscars restaurant where we had a fantastic champagne afternoon tea. The food was wonderful the price was good and the service was excellent. I have eaten afternoontea in many places including Betties of Harrogate and this was as good as any and better value than most. Thanks to all.

Lovely hotel, very helpful friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was lovely and very reasonably priced. Only downside was that the walls in the room were very thin meaning we could hear everything next door.

Stayed here for a family wedding in March. The whole hotel is finished to a high standard. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was great and even though we were an hour late for it they still made us a full English. Which we REALLY appreciated! We arrived at midnight and Andy still greeted us with a smile he was also VERY helpful :)

Been here today with colleagues for a day long business training event.

Using the Peel Suite we had plenty of space with all technology in perfect working order.

The staff we interacted with during the day were all friendly and efficient. Keeping us stocked with decent quality coffee and good biscuits.

Lunch provided was really good quality and a similarly good vegetarian option was provided for colleagues requesting it.

Didn't use any more of the facilities but the hotel looks a nice standard, higher than that of similar hotels I've frequented in the Bury area.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Red Hall hotel. Our room was small but very comfortable. Our cooked breakfasts were substantial and of very good quality. We ate in Oscar's restaurant on one evening - the menu was varied and the food was well cooked and nicely presented. All the members of staff we met were friendly and courteous. We have no hesitation in saying that we would happily return one day.

The staff, the venue, the wedding ceremony and the food were really nice and I couldn't be more complimentary of them. Everything was managed timely and went smoothly for the bride and groom. As guests of the wedding party we were taken aback of how friendly the staff are. We were never stood at the bar waiting to be served as there was plenty of staff serving.
The bedrooms are nicely decorated and very clean, however, our shower did not work properly it was freezing, although it did wake us up. The bed was so soft that we rolled into the middle, which I guess is personal preference; I don't like soft beds but other people do.
I would recommend this hotel but next time we stay I would ask for a room with a harder bed.
As a wedding venue I would highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money hotel! Our Room was comfortable, clean and warm ( which was a relief given the freezing temperatures outside. The staff were really friendly. We stayed here when we were visiting family. Would recommend it with out a doubt.

I have been to Red Hall quite a few times with my husband and we have really enjoyed our time there, so we decided to hold my birthday party on the 6th February there and it was a fabulous night. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The room dressing by Alison of Party Essence was fantastic and the buffet was delicious with a good variety of food. I would like to thank Donna, Warren and all the staff at the Red Hall for making my birthday such a memorable occasion, Thank you so much.

We attended a family wedding anniversary afternoon party and were very impressed by The Red Hall hotel and restaurant. The venue is very clean and in excellent decorative order. The staff provide a well organised and proffessional service whilst creating a friendly atmosphere. My only complaint is that the meat dishes on the menu were a little unimaginative( ie. more like a carvery with all meats coming with Yorkshire pudding and trimmings), although the quality was very good. I had the cod dish and was extremely happy with my choice. A little more thought re. the menu and I would have no hesitation I awarding The Red Hall the maximum award.

We have stayed at the Red Hall on numerous occasions as we live close by and its nice to get away for the night. We only ever pay £50-60 each time which is a decent price.

The rooms are always clean and have everything you would expect to find. TV is just freeview which is a bit of a let down.

We also visit the restaurant when we go which used to be Legends and was fantastic but since it has changed to Oscars it has let us down, (I will write a separate review for Oscar's)

Overall, great hotel for a night away, nothing fancy but well worth the price and location is brill as well.

We have visited Red Hall on the odd occasion when in the Manchester area and find it an ideal location outside of the city, yet with all the creature comforts we look for. The hotel is always spotless and the whole staff are friendly and welcoming. Oscar's restaurant always look after our little daughter and make her feel welcome and the food range is top class. I highly recommend Red Hall for business or pleasure.

I stay here at least 2 nights a month during my travels for work. the rooms are always clean and tidy and the hotel service is always fantastic, i get a great nights sleep, the walls are a little thin but OK. great views over farmland at the back of the hotel. Plenty of parking on-site. well situated for motorway. PERFECT really.

The only let down for me is the restaurant service, the food i have to say is very good but the service needs to improve, I have visited to restaurant on many occasions, one time i was shown to my table then just left sitting there for 10 minutes or more with no drink or order taken so i just got up and left. i have waited 15 minutes for my plate to be cleared away whilst staff check their phones, i have waited 15-20 minutes for my breakfast order to be taken. the menu is kind of a la carte but the service doesn't match.
also, on all of these occasions the restaurant was at about 10% capacity so god knows what its like when its busy!.

its a 10 out of 10 for a Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley. Very attentive but not intrusive table service and the professionalism shown by the operations manager Brian was excellent!

The hotel is well located off the M66 and easy to find. Staff friendly and check in went very smoothly. Room very good but I was at the back of the hotel overlooking fields which meant it was quiet. Wifi reasonable and bed comfortable.

Restaurant - Oscars, was very good. My steak was very well cooked but a little pricey. Overall the food and wine were excellent. Service was very good and staff seemed to take pride in what they did. Breakfast was brilliant and the breakfast team were friendly and very helpful. Check out was painless and I would definately stay in this first class hotel again.

It was my mother's funeral in Manchester, so stayed in the hotel as I live in London. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room were very clean and well furnished. As it was a stressful time we wanted to stay somewhere we could relax and get quality service, which this hotel provided.

My wife and I got married here between Christmas and New Year and every aspect of it was excellent. We initially booked in early 2015 due to the very competitive package that was on offer, everything was customisable to our requirements and we were assured that the day would be all about us and everything would be done to make it special...and it was!

Warren and his team were in complete control from start to finish and every effort was made to make the event as stress free as possible. Everything we had planned was implemented to perfection and nothing we asked of them was too much hassle. They clearly had an excellent relationship with the local registrar, suppliers and entertainers who had all worked there previously which just made things even easier, everyone knew where to go and what to do.

We got married in the Holcombe Suite which was beautifully presented during the ceremony and the reception with more than enough room for our guests and entertainment. The food was top rate and many of our guests commented on how good it was. Of course we stayed in the bridal suite and again this was outstanding, a huge bathroom with his and hers sinks, massive bath, massive comfortable bed, perfect for winding down after such a great day!

I honestly can't sing their praises enough and would recommend anyone get married here.

Thanks again

This was not the first time we had spent time at Red Hall, and it won't be the last. We had driven up from Birmingham for a good friends 65 birthday party. I had produced a video to run from a computer for the party, and Warren was very helpful in helping me connect to the large screens. The party was fantastic, helped by great staff, great food and very comfortable rooms. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Went to Red Hall Hotel for the 70th birthday party and 45th Wedding Anniversary for dear friends. We had booked in Saturday night and the hotel were kind enough to let us access our room earlier than standard book in time of 2.00pm as we'd travelled some distance and wanted to change and freshen up ready for the party. The function room was fine, if a bit chilly, but the vegetarian offering as part of the hot buffet lunch was a very greasy, rock hard cheese and tomato pizza - not nice at all. Our room was, however, really comfortable, smart and well appointed.

My wife and I have just returned from the Red Hall Hotel where we attended a wedding.
Firstly, as a wedding venue the hotel is fabulous, we found everything lovely and clean and the staff were absolutely first rate.
the area used for the ceremony and reception is really well organised and those who run the weddings organise everything in a smooth and stress free way, as for the hotel rooms we could find no fault, guest services were spot on, rooms warm and comfortable with excellent en suite bathroom.
The hotel restaurant provides a lovely opportunity for fine dining, well presented and tasty and the breakfasts are excellent.
we asked the reception staff if they could provide a family room for a our son who hadn't booked ( always one )it meant requesting another guest to change rooms but the staff were only to happy to help, a feally first rate service.
As for prices, the Red hall hotel is fairly expensive but as is the case these days
