Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and pretty quiet, first class breakfast, helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant. We were overnighting on our way to Manchester airport and chose this hotel as we have been here before.

Hotel location was really nice, views of fields and a nice outdoor seating area.
Friendly welcome from the desk staff. Room pretty standard but clean. Ours had a nice view of the field of cows behind!
Downside.
Walls thin and bed/pillows uncomfortable. Woken numerous times by the guy in the next room snoring. Hotel is used for weddings ,functions etc so expect noise from guests and slamming of doors as they return to their rooms also.
Desk staff next morning offered complimentary breakfast as compensation, didn't accept. Just would have preferred a good nights sleep.

I booked the hotel on the internet to be near the wedding venue Fishermans Retreat top marks for that..we arrived early and couldn't get in the room it was 11am so left our bags at reception...When we came back for a brief siesta amid festivities I could have sworn it was a 4ft bed I should know as I work in the bed department. When they saw my partner is over 20st..why did they give us such a small bed! When we returned at midnight it was too late to change it..being in such close proximity3oximity with my partner who snores..even w ear plugs I had the worst sleep ever. I even had an extra kip after breakfast..abd I am still catching up my lost sleep. It was NOT a double bed! I enjoyed the continental breakfast, service seemed slow on the full breakfasts...and i was produced with one as well...no glasses out for fruit juice and all the tables weren't even full. Good location for us for the wedding.

stayed here on a family holiday. Food was delicious. Service was excellent and very helpful. Staff were very welcoming when we arrived and were happy to help and really nice to talk to. Rooms were family friendly and a good size. We slept very well as it was so peaceful and quiet. The views of the countryside out the windows were beautiful to look at. Gardens were well kept. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The beds and pillows were lovely. Highly recommend people to stay here and will definitely return.

We recently had our wedding at The Red Hall Hotel and it couldn't have ran better thanks to Warren and the team. One of our guests actually commented that he would have booked for 2 nights if he'd known the hotel was so nice! The Princess Suite was gorgeous and we just hope we get the chance to stay there again soon. I can definitely recommend this hotel for any event or stay.

I was here on business recently and really enjoyed my stay at the Red Hall Hotel. The staff were excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable, the restaurant didn't disappoint and breakfast was delicious.

I enjoyed looking at the cows in the field from my window (no really I did) and really felt that it was in the Lancashire countryside.

The bar had a good range of wine and beers including the now obligatory craft ales. The restaurant offered well cooked hearty fare which I enjoyed.

As we now have an office nearby I'll definitely be back and I'll have no qualms about staying here again.

Excellent value B&B deal for a couple of days, even the weather was good.
Room on the rear was quiet and rural pasture view relaxing.
Good location without the traffic jams for access to other destinations.

Attended a wedding here. Food was excellent and service was also excellent. Few niggles though, wedding ceremony upstairs, bar closed and lots of dirty glasses on it.This doesn't reflect well on the wedding pictures! Bar downstairs slightly too small and only one person manning it. Hotel did very well in keeping the party contained inside as it was pouring down with rain! Unsure of outside facilities as a result of the weather. Room good size and clean. Would recommend people to stay here.

Stayed for one night on a travelzoo deal. They had a wedding that night so gave us a room at the back, away from the bar and party. Lovely clean room good sized bathroom, very quiet, looking out over fields. Booked dinner in the restaurant for 7pm which was lovely, good choice, well cooked, and presented, thoroughly enjoyable, but ruined by the unruly children, screaming and running around. The hotel needs too decide if they want to provide a macdonalds enviroment or a lovely dining experiance ( their food deserves better.) Breakfast was much better with smoked salmon and scambled eggs (no extra charge)

I don't think there are enough words to thank Warren and staff for all the hard work they put in to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. From the beginning of the process Warren was our wedding rock and guru answering a gazillion questions and giving great advice. Fast forward 18 months from when we booked our wedding the day was upon us and it went off without a hitch. Everyone had a great day and our guests couldn't stop raving about how lovely the hotel was and how friendly the staff were. The wedding breakfast and evening food was delicious, the room looked incredible the whole wedding was everything we wanted it to be. We just wish we could do it all again!
Thanks again!

Have stayed here a few times and it's refreshing to always come back to quality & consistency, a real find near to Manchester without the hustle & bustle!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Red Hall for business or pleasure. Lovely staff in quality surroundings.

I stayed here mid week the hotel is welcoming, the rooms are clean, the bed comfortable with fresh linen and you will have everything you would need. I asked for extra pillows and they arrived within 10 minutes, no fuss and the reception staff we happy to help. It was fabulous value for money , I have stayed in B&B's charging more than this and they weren't half as good. The breakfast in the morning was the usual cooked breakfast & continental but you could tell it was all fresh and the cooked breakfast was really tasty. I had eaten in the restaurant the night before and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely stay again

Overall this is a very good hotel. We only stayed for one evening (room 28). Unfortunately this room does overlook an unsightly air conditioning unit? However, beyond that the scenery is stunning, the gardens are very well kept and the staff could not do enough to assist. We didn't eat in Oscars restaurant as we wished to explore Ramsbottom, which is also very friendly and quaint with lots of places to eat and drink.
Had our view not been obstructed by the AC unit, I would of rated this hotel as excellent, as all of the staff we met went beyond the call of duty to make our stay really very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

On arrival we were impressed. The hotel is nicely furnished, clean, and the receptionist very helpful.
We decided to eat in the restaurant. It was a very hot evening but the beer cooler was not working. Not an issue really but once added to the rest of the evening it was another disappointment. We waited a long time to be seated, then waited a long time for our starters. Once they were cleared we waited 45mins before the restaurant manager came to the table to apologise for the delay and let us know our main courses would be ready in two minutes. We then waited a further twenty minutes for them to arrive. We were given a bottle of water and a glass of wine as an apology. The evening had dragged on so long we did not bother with dessert or coffee. We went back to the room to read but neither bedside lamp worked. We were woken at 7.15am by a member of staff noisily jet washing the terrace! The noise was incredible and lasted about an hour. We met friends in the bar in the morning and they brought us coffee but we had to go looking for a waitress to ask for sugar.
At checkout we told the receptionist of all of these issues. He thanked us for our feedback and said that he would pass on our comments to the manager who would get in touch with us. A week later we have heard nothing.
In all it is a nice place but the customer service has let them down.
The following night we stayed at the Sykeside Hotel near Haslingden which was amazing. If you are looking to stay in the area book there instead. You could not compare the two places.

This hotel is really in Ramsbottom and we have used it several times when visiting there. Some of the rooms are quite small but others are of a perfectly respectable size.
It is a very popular wedding venue.
There is a large and convenient car park.

I regularly meet important clients & business associates at the Red Hall Hotel, and friendly staff always make me feel like part of the family. The coffees, drinks, meals and general ambience are all excellent. I have also attended several weddings, and recently hosted our business's annual charity fundraiser in the Holcombe Suite, with 110 people. The staff couldn't do enough for us all on the night, the hotel even made a generous donation to our auction & raffle! I can't sing their praises enough, well done to Brian, Donna & all the wonderful team!!! Simon Holland, Owner Jacob's Ladder Property Consultancy Ltd.

I booked on line with Booking ,com which on arrival entitled me to a free drink so I had a glass of red wine with my dinner. Once again alone and on business I needed to work and found the room met the comfortable 'office' requirements. This aspect very important because I've been in rooms where there are no suitable places for the laptop and ended up doing my reports on the end of the bed and worse still no electrical outlets but fear not the Red Hall Hotel meets all the business traveler requirements.

Check in and check out was efficient and very friendly.

Being alone I used 'Room Service' and to my delight discovered that the extensive restaurant menu was available to room service customers for a very reasonable 'Tray Charge' of £2.50 -- my glass of red wine was the icing on the cake because the food was excellent.

To the rear of the hotel there is the car park but more importantly some attractive seating and a safe area for children to play.

I work in the M66 / M62 area quite often and feel that I have discovered a number one choice for the future

The Red Hall Hotel was the venue for our daughters wedding reception, excellent choice,we called in the previous night as some guests had arrived and were making a weekend of the occasion, the receptionist, bar staff and manager made us and our friends so welcome,i even had a sneak preview to the seating arrangements for the Wedding Meal.
As for the Wedding Day,everything went fantastic from the pre-dinner drink's to the meal and the night function(singer and disco) and buffet. Well supervised and efficient staff. This enabled our guests and ourselves, bride & groom to a brilliant memorable day.
We also stayed the night,as with many other guests and had a lovley clean room and a lovley cooked breakfast. I would fully recommend Red Hall Hotel, infact we have called in a couple of times since the wedding for evening drink's with our daughter her husband and some wedding guests. A big Thankyou Again to Warren and all the staff, we will be calling in soon. Regards.

We attended a Wedding Day back in July 2014 at the Red Hall Hotel.
From the ceromony & reception, then onto the evening buffet and disco it went without a hitch. Wonderful venue, attentive staff, the Red Hall did the Bride & Groom pround. Several guests stayed overnight subsequently commenting on the quality of the accommodation. So well done Red Hall.

A great hotel with delightful staff and great food this hotel is a hidden gem just outside Bury .We arrived early for a friends wedding on a Friday morning but were checked into an available room straight away . Having helped the bride and groom do their last minute chores we all sat down to a delicious afternoon tea with champagne .The food was tasty with sandwiches and delightful cakes .We ate in the restaurant that evening and due to another function in the hotel the service was a little slow but the food was good .The wedding the following day was superb starting with excellent canapés and champagne .The three course menu was faultless with the best sticky toffee pudding for desert .Highly recommended.

We arrived at mid day. Early for our check in and explained I was unwell. The staff were brilliant. They got a room ready within 15 minutes and allowed us to check in early for which I was very grateful. We were on a Travel Zoo deal which included a meal in Oscars. I was unable to make to most of it but what I had was well presented and tasted very good. The room was of a good size and the bed very comfortable. All the staff we came across were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. I would recommend this hotel.

I attended a wedding in May - and having been to a few I know it's so easy for things to go wrong. The meal - Smoked Cheese & Black Pudding, Stuffed chicken and then a Sponge Pudding was beautifully cooked and presented, but the most noticeable thing was the plentiful amount of (mainly young) staff who got every starter, main meal out and dessert out at practically at the same time for every table. There was no skimping on staff which I have seen at a few events elsewhere. The bar areas were again well-staffed with no long queues for drinks, everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was even TVs in one bar showing the football for the fellas who needed a break from wedding chit chat. The room turnaround from Wedding meal to the function at night was quick also. I didn't stay but everyone seemed happy with their rooms who did so. Spotlessly clean linen for the meal, a lot of effort had been put in to make the wedding perfect. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this hotel, clean rooms, great out of the way location, quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed a few drinks at the bar and some food.

Room was smaller than normal but extremely comfortable and very clean.
