We've been to the Red Hall on several occasions, whether for an overnight stay or just to dine and it never disappoints.
Our room number was 23 (at the rear of the hotel, 1st floor) overlooking the fields and hills, we even saw a deer on the hillside. The rooms are always spotless and are always the right temperature (my opinion). There's also ample tea and coffee. The shower is fantastic and tremendously invigorating.
Check in was really straight forward and the receptionist was very polite without going over the top.
We decided to eat in the room on this occasion rather than going into Oscar's (Football on the TV). I thought my meal (the 8oz burger)was very tasty and presented really nicely, my partner had the same but thought it was a touch bland and a tad on the expensive side (everyone has a different opinion on food)
The room at night was very quiet and we both slept really really well.
Breakfast is great, there's always plenty of choice. Cereals, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, continental cooked meats etc and maybe a choice of 10 different cooked breakfasts.
We went for the traditional English breakfast, which was great. The plate is just enough, not over facing nor do you leave feeling hungry.
Overall great value (£55 for the room) and a very very enjoyable night away. We will definitely be returning

Fantastic day, expertly organised.
Afternoon tea was the best we have had, and along with entertainment and live betting we all thoroughly enjoyed and hope to be back next year!
The photo area and raffles were great extras that hopefully provided funds for a great charity - Bury cancer support.

This hotel was recommended to us by people living locally. Everything was run very professionally by very pleasant and helpful staff. A very comfortable ensuite bedroom but the dining room was definitely the star decorated in a modern style but extremely comfortable. The menu was interesting and the food excellent.
My only problem which has nothing to do with the hotel, was as it is situated on a busy road was trying to find somewhere to walk my dogs.

A short distance from M66 and yet deep in the heart of beautiful countryside. A small hotel, comfortable, and with such friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble and really excellent food in the restaurant. Watch the mist rise over the fields and listen to the birds sing in an early summer morning. A really good base for the local area, and don't forget Bury market.

We were at a wedding here in June. They did a cracking job with the wedding, beautifully set tables, silver service, very good food, great atmosphere. We stayed over night & the room was bigger than most hotel rooms, comfy beds, a good size bathroom & very clean. All the staff including receptionists, waiters & waitresses were very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was good, we had a full English breakfast served but plenty of cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit etc that you can help yourselves to while waiting for the cooked food. All this at a very reasonable price £80 for the room which included breakfast for two. This room was at the back overlooking fields & very quiet.

Our son held his wedding here on the 10th June. What a fantastic 'do'. Everything went according to plan. The staff were excellent, very attentive and nothing too much trouble. A special mention must go to Warren the wedding MC, for his organisational skills in preparing the function room for the ceremony, meal and disco. He was fantastic. The food was great and the servings more than adequate with dietary requirements considered. A very successful day all round. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Red Hall Hotel as a venue for any celebration.

Had our wedding reception at the Red Hall Hotel on 03/06/16. The hotel is lovely and the room where the wedding reception was held is very nice. Warren the wedding planner was brilliant all the way through from booking the wedding to the actual day. Made us feel very reassured and was fab with all the guests. Warren and the red hall staff made the room look amazing on the day, everything was in place and just how we had asked for it to be. Great food, great venue. Big thank you to Warren.

This stunning hotel really steps up to the mark. The attention-to-detail is incredible with every corner and lining well thought about. We stayed for one night over the weekend and the hotel boasts a friendly, charming atmosphere. The room was lovely with the bed beautifully adorned. The facilities in the room are all modern, clean and work perfectly. The staff are delightful and no problem was too much for them. Couldn't fault the hotel.. Stop reading this and just book a night stay and see for yourself. BEAUTIFUL hotel with huge attention to detail throughout. Beautiful décor along with staff that will go far far above and beyond go and book to see for yourself xxxxxxx

A lovely hotel. We were visiting friends and family in North Manchester for the weekend. Perfect location close to motorway near the countryside. We were also able to bring our dog with us to stay in our room for a nominal fee so the room could be deep cleaned for the next guests. We love this hotel. It has become our first choice for visiting Manchester.

Visited Oscars Restaurant for the first time on their Date Night Event on 27th May. We chose the Red Hall to celebrate my husband's birthday, and also because our daughter gets married there next year and we wanted to sample the food. The food was amazing, although it is a set menu, we felt there was plenty to choose from. From the moment we walked in to the hotel, every member of staff were friendly and helpful. The young girl on the bar was extremely welcoming, and the young waiter and waitress who served our table where very attentive, it was also nice to see a Manager (warren) leading by example in helping his staff serve food and clear the tables. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant, the only criticism we had was that the live entertainment was a little too loud. We look forward to returning for another meal in the near future & celebrating our daughters wedding next year.

I got married at The Red Hall on May 13th. From our first visit to the end we could not have asked for more. I have never been to a hotel were the staff are so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and I would not hesitate to stay at The Red Hall or recommend this hotel to anyone. I had guests stay at the hotel the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding who have all said how amazing the day was and the hotel itself. I could not have asked for more on my big day. The food was absolutely beautiful and hot and the room stunning.I want to say a massive thank you to Warren who made the process of organising a wedding so much easier and made sure everything went amazing on the day. Also to Stephanie who could not have been more helpful if she tried. Nothing was too much trouble. Also to Matthew who was went above and beyond for us. And lastly to all the staff at the hotel....Thank you for making our day so so special!

Been here twice now in 2015 once for a wedding and we thought it was so nice we went back just for a over night stay.

The food is very nice especially the steak. The staff are very friendly.

We will be making our 3rd visit in may 2016 for a overnight break.

We do highly recommend the Red Hall Hotel 🏩.

The red hall has got a lovely function room which appears to have just been done up. We were there for a charity night which was really good. The food was gorgeous. I have been to the restaurant here before and yet again the food was fabulous. I would defiantly recommend a function here or even a trip to the restaurant.

Got treated to a night here, we spent the evening in the bar and in the hotel restaurant before making our way to our room, which by the way had a lovely view of the rolling hills and greenery. The food was excellent, really enjoyed our meals, the room was lovely, clean and tidy but I wanted to make a point here about how lovely every single member of staff we interacted with was. I think there was 5 people total who we ended up speaking to from the lady at the check in desk to all the lovely people in the restaurant. Every one of them couldn't do enough for you, they were so friendly, checked everything was okay, always were on top of if we needed something and chatted to us. The staff are an absolute credit to this place, they make the stay even better, it was a great experience and I had a lovely night here.

What an absolute gem of a place. Having lived in the area for many years I had only heard good reports about this hotel.
Last year I relocated to Cornwall and in returning to visit family and friend I decided to choose the Red Hall for my accommodation.
I have owned my own my own business for many years and realise the importance of good customer service.I was absolutely blown away with the service I received here.
My room was spacious, spotless and worth every penny.
The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. It was a visit I won't forget.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all staff but in particular the house keepers and house manager for looking after me and making sure I had a comfortable stay.
Thank you to Pepe for the loan of his lighter and cheering me up with his smile. Thank you to Carla, Stacey, Lydia, Daniel, Danielle, Matthew and the reception ladies. You all know what you did for me and I sincerely thank you all.
I recently have had a rough time with health and I am so grateful to you all for everything you did for me. The staff here are credit to this establishment. I just hope the management and owners realise how wonderful their staff are and are treated as well as they treated me.
See you soon. I will be booking in as soon as I return to Lancashire.

No booking necessary (it was a Monday, not a weekend). Lots of parking, including disabled parking very near to front entrance. Very restful, comfortable dining area. Service was good, drinks order taken as soon as we were settled at our table. Not a huge menu but excellent options. The soup, tomato, was delicious. The main courses chosen were sea bass and tortellini, neither could be faulted. A really enjoyable meal at a very good price, especially considering the quality of the food. ( under £36.00 for us both). The staff were attentive but not 'in your face'. Overall a very enjoyable experience which will be repeated!

We stayed here for the night when dinning locally. This is pretty impressive, to room was very modern and ticked all the boxes. I agree with a previous review about the noise, there was a wedding when we were there, surprisingly the noise came the next morning but it wasn't that bad.
We paid £45 for room only which was a bargain.
I have no problem recommending the red hall but if you want a relaxing night and a lay in maybe check if there are any weddings on.
We decided to pay extra for our breakfast which was £12 but it was the best breakfast we have ever had.

A huge big thank you to all staff at the Red Hall Hotel.
We attended my nephews wedding here on 2nd April 2016, and my oh my do they do weddings well 😃 Everything was super, attention to detail, Food excellent, smooth processes, fab receptionist who worked hard with house keeping to get rooms available as early as poss. All staff were helpful and polite, and even though worked late on the wedding night, remained smiley and efficient at breakfast the next morning, lovely brekkie too. Rooms were good, clean and well presented. Hats off to everyone, well done Warren & the team. Even officiant was warm and welcoming and added humour, you could tell they work well together with the hotel. Thank you one and all for providing a day full of memories to treasure 😃

Lovely hotel. Pleasant staff. Beautifully decorated throughout. Comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast. Spectacular countryside views! The only fault is that the walls are thin and you can hear other guests talking and the showers are very loud. So if your enjoying a late night drink or 2 at the bar, just be aware that it's an early start the next day.

Lovely hotel but the walls are very thin, so thin that you can hear what people are saying in the next room. The bathroom fans are a bit noisy too and go on for quite sometime. So if you want a lie in, in the morning, it isn't going to happen. As you can hear the shower, the fan, talking and everything else that goes on in the adjacent room. Other than that, a lovely hotel, in a lovely location, with beautiful views.
