Nice hotel only fault is poor soundproofing between rooms

Stayed here this week while involved in a corporate event held in the hotel. I have to be honest, this place is a hidden gem !.

Quite unassuming just off the M66, this is a relatively small place but facilities are excellent. The reception staff were very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. I arrived late just wanting a quick bite, but went for the game pie which was really good, hot tasty and filling. Presented nicely along with chunky chips and crunchy green beans it did the trick. Breakfast equally as good with my eggs benedict being my personal "go to" if it appears on a menu.
The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. The rain shower was powerful enough to wake you up and - struggling for criticism - the loose toilet seat, with only one fixing bolt the only downside. Why not report it ? - not my place, it should have been picked up. Not to take anything away though, this place is good value for money and very clean and well fitted.

Good choice for our event. I look forward to our next session there in November.

this was our 3rd visit to the Red Hall Hotel & will certainly not be our last. The staff are so friendly & welcoming & make your stay a special one, a special mention to Pepe who is the restaurant maître d, what an absolute character & an asset to the hotel. We always ask for a room overlooking the country side rather than the car park. The food in the restaurant was superb as always at both the evening meal & breakfast in the morning. Thanks again to all the staff & we will be back again soon.

We enjoyed the stay. All the basics were in place - clean bathroom, comfy bed, toiletries, coffee etc. Hotel was well appointed throughout, but a few hours of a carpenter's time would see the room doors fitting and closing quietly. At the moment some of them bang shut and that is disturbing at night. Otherwise, though, a great hotel.

Such kind and friendly staff, our original hotel did not allow dogs so we were looking for one last minute, such a caring helpful receptionist. Tasty breakfast of continental and cooked breakfasts. Very kind to animals and allows them to be left in rooms also beatiful rooms with large spacious beds clean bathrooms and complimentary tea and coffee will diffinately recommend to any weary travel or looting for somewhere to stay!

Great location and comfortable, though fairly compact, rooms. Bathroom well equipped with good toiletries and fluffy towels, but why only 1 hand towel in a double room? Highly recommend the cooked to order breakfast which has plenty of choice, from full English to smoked haddock and eggs royals. Large car park and easily accessible from the M66. Staff on reception very helpful when in attendance, but perhaps need a bell to summon them when they have been called away to deal with other matters.

Excellent hotel only issue would be that breakfast was very expensive

Our friends daughter recently got married here and we stayed for two nights. The hotel is beautifully located and our room which was really nice had a lovely view. We dined the night before in the restaurant as a group of 17 and the food and service were excellent. The attention to detail for us as guests at the wedding was terrific to the extent when the manager saw me coming up for food in the evening, he had already put on a vegetarian equivalent for me. Really enjoyable time.

Hired the Peel Suite on a Saturday afternoon for my dad’s 90th Birthday party and it was all very nice indeed. Nice room, nice fresh sandwiches and cakes and very nice staff. It didn’t break the bank. Can’t fault it.

Everything was perfect, the only thing that would put a cherry on top would have been a swimming pool. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

We stayed here as friends were having a 50th Wedding Anniversary meal here. We had a six hour journey so stayed the night before and after. The accommodation was very comfortable, especially the beds. Good sized room with an en suite, TV and hot drinks facility. Breakfast room very pleasant and airy with a good selection of tables for all sized groups. We had the continental breakfast which consisted of a various fruit, cereal (including porridge), yoghurts, juices and drinks. The meal for the celebration was very tasty with a good variety of dishes to suite most tastes. The service was excellent and there was a very friendly efficient atmosphere among the staff.
A very confortable hotel with good staff, would recommend it.

Today we booked out of here after a fantastic 2 nights
We were there for our friends wedding and I cannot give praise enough for this hotel
From walking into reception to leaving the staff have been so friendly and cheerful it is run very much on a family feel rather than the corporate that so many large and small hotels adhere too
Alex in the bar was friendly and knowledgeable and the food a smallish menu but excellently cooked and served
Then we come to Ben (the wedding master of ceremonies) and his staff well you could not fault them as for Ben where does he get his energy from .
All in all I cannot praise this hotel any higher I will definitely stay here again when I venture out of Brighton and up to Manchester
Congratulations to all of you

Came for Sunday lunch last week and it was amazing!! My starter was pate which was Devine and my Beef was cooked to perfection. We were a table of 8 and everyone commented on how fantastic all the food was. Pepe the host was so attentive but without being over bearing. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait for our next visit.

This was my first visit to the Red Hall, attending a friends wedding and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful hotel and surroundings and the staff were all fantastic. We stayed overnight and I was very pleased with the standard of the room. Seamless check in prior to the wedding and the room was readily available. The restaurant was open for pre wedding drinks and breakfast was served in here the following day. The food at the wedding was so very tasty, great choice of wines and stunning selection of deserts. A shout out to Chelsea on reception who checked us in, friendly, professional and helpful, she even let me an umbrella, it’s the little things at times we remember. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area or attending an event. Thanks to all the staff, the Red Hall should be proud to have such a professional team.

I have just stayed at this hotel and I have to say it is the best one in the area. Check in is swift and the staff are lovely. I ate in the restaurant and the food and service were good. The room is a little small but it is clean and has everything. My only tip would be to ask for a room on the back of the hotel so you cannot hear the roads noise.

Booked this hotel only because it was close to the people I was visiting and also price was reasonable and included breakfast. I was really surprised at how ell kept this hotel was. The rooms were immaculate and had everything in that you would have wanted. Check in took about 1 minute and as it is a small hotel we found our room very quickly. It has a lift and good disabled access and is very well decorated. I was surprised at how luxurious the room seemed and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and we were greeted immediately and our choice of hot drink was brought straightaway. You order breakfast ( not a huge choice but you can get eggs benedict!) but help yourself to fruit, juice and toast. I enjoyed the breakfast and my young grandson who was with me was delighted they did pancakes! Free wifi is also included a good bonus and the wifi was so easy to connect to. I will certainly book this hotel again if I need to stay in the area.

The reception was efficient and welcoming, and the bedroom equally so. The bed linen and bed was so comfy and the room very clean and smart, with coffee/tea making facilities easily accessible.
Breakfast was good and again very friendly staff.
I will certainly stay here again , and thank you!
A great little hotel indeed.
