Stayed here 24th Oct because of work in Bury. Explained to the staff that we were working nights and they were really helpful and made us breakfast even though we were 30 mins late for it. The food was excellent in Oscars and the rooms were very good. I have stayed in many hotels before and generally find the staff to be ok but the staff here cannot do enough for you and make every effort to make your stay the best.
I would not hesitate in booking this hotel again.

This hotel is located just of the M66 ideal for easy access to Bury ,Manchester and the M62.The rooms are well appointed and quite large. The only down size is that the walls are not well insulated so you can hear what’s happening next door. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They serve breakfast to you which is of excellent quality. We stayed for 1 night but will use it again,it was great value.

we were here for a friend's wedding reception. I have coeliac disease and am lactose intolerant. Ben looked after me all day ensuring my meal was gluten and dairy free. nothing was too much of a problem for him. It is a gorgeous hotel, and very clean xx

I stayed for one night on business. It was superb in every sense.
It was great value for money. I rang the hotel directly and got a better deal than was advertised any of the 'hotel booking' sites.
It is a well appointed hotel and although only rated as 3 star looks far better.
The room was superb with a very comfortable bed. My one and only negative is, as I find in a lot of hotel rooms is that the lighting was poor, with no central light, thus making reading in bed a touch more difficult than it should be be.
The restaurant was excellent. The evening meal was great quality and good value and the breakfast was freshly cooked so was hot!
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night as my husband was working in Manchester for the week and I had a meeting also there for one of those days. The room was clean and inviting and the only downfall was the pillows - didn’t sleep well at all - too firm/hard. Would definitely stay again. Husband highly recommends it - he stays there regularly.

I can only presume there's been a change in the kitchen since the last time I ate here, which was back in march. The food is extremely good. I had the steak pie, which was the best I'd ever eaten. I followed this with a lemon posset. Again, very very tasty. I travel a lot with work and it's a real joy to find a venue that I actually look forward to eating at. Can't wait to return. Keep up the good work chef!

I stay at The Red Hall regularly and can thoroughly recommend it as a great place to visit.

The rooms are clean and well maintained and the restaurant offers plenty of variety, with the breakfast particularly nice.

There is always plenty of parking for guests and it is also a great venue for functions or business meetings.

The hotel's best asset is the friendly and efficient staff who are always happy to oblige with any help you might need. Chelsea on reception is a great ambassador for the hotel.

The free wifi is good in all rooms and there are lifts available for disabled guests.

The only bad point I have is that they start putting up Christmas decorations way too early!

If you're looking for a hotel close to Manchester at a reasonable cost then this is a great alternative to the Premier Inns of the world.

From check in to check out my stay was amazing.
Room a food size with a comfortable bed and a good power shower.
Food in the evening was superb. The pie was excellent, a proper beef and ale pie. The chocolate fondant was also gorgeous.
Breakfast the next morning was great, poached eggs cooked perfectly. Good selection of pastries and cereals.
Location also great for easy access to the motorway.
Will definitely recommend Red Hall to anyone needing to stay in the area.
Thank you for a great stay!!

Good quality hotel much better than I expected for price. Room was comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was spotless and also well appointed.
There is a good selection for breakfast either buffet or cooked.
Only downside was steaks over cooked on the evening of our stay and poached eggs over cooked at breakfast.

Absolutely perfect place to have a wedding reception. Me and my husband couldn't fault anything. Stunning food, very friendly staff, just perfect all round. High quality for a very good price. Warren who helped put this day was great when I was panicking over nothing. Our guests said it was the best place wedding reception they had been to and thought we had had paid a lot more than we had it was that good. Highly recommend to everyone

Afternoon delights . menu set.... but dare to diversify and the chef will aim to please.
Vegetarians will be delighted at the vegetable burger made bespoke by the in-house chef.
Truelly worth the wait .. Amazingly presented and more than an eye dropping delight ..

I've stayed here many times over the last 18 months and have nothing bad to say about the hotel, their reception staff and the breakfast team (who are amazing).

The rooms are immaculate and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.

The room service menu could do with being a little more expansive but other than that I really can't recommend this hotel enough.

I only stayed the one night but it was enough for me to know that if I return to the area I will look to see if I can stay again.

The young receptionist was a lovely girl, quite chatty and check in was really fast. I wad concerned by the location of my room which was more or less next to a fire door exit which people (including me!) used as a short cut to the car park, and almost facing the smoking area - but actually I had no great problems at all.

Next morning breakfast was plentiful and again the staff, cleaners, waitresses and all were so nice. Fine full English.

Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for one night to visit a relative nearby. Friendly receptionist, lovely single room and tasty breakfast. Very comfy bed, nice drinks 'box' and one of the most powerful showers I have ever experienced!
Only down side was that I was only staying for one night!

To celebrate my husbands birthday we stayed for the evening and night at this hotel. The staff were very helpful when I was booking 6 rooms and the rooms were pleasant. We ate at their restaurant . The food was simple but came piping hot to the table ,which I always appreciate. As another reviewer has said I would recommend this hotel

Stayed one night prior to a funeral the following morning. The location was perfect. Cannot fault the staff, the reception girls were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant staff were also very good, although the young man taking our drinks order didn't seem to know that Guinness wasn't a lager! Food was delicious and very good value for money, my wine at £6.95 a glass not such good value, even more expensive than our local, Cambridgeshire, pubs! Was a little surprised not to be offered toast with our Full English the following morning, although it may be that this was available on the continental buffet which I didn't look at as our cooked breakfast was included in the room rate. We had a ground floor, rear room (we had asked for a quiet room) and it was certainly quiet outside the hotel but we could hear everything going on in the room next door which is always a little disconcerting. Room size was fine and it was nice to have the kettle and a good variety of hot drinks. Had to ask for a second bath towel and weren't happy to find a damp bath mat left on the dressing table chair. All in all, fine for a night or two but probably wouldn't want to stay longer as lack of insulation between the rooms and being able to hear everything next door would be a bit of a problem for me.

Stayed here on the last of 3 nights of a girls weekend on motorbikes, excellent secure parking was a great start, we had a family room for 4 ladies,, it was 2 adjoining rooms each with its own bathroom, rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable, the dinning room was very modern, possible just been decorated,, our waitress was Melissa she was very attentive, had an excellent knowledge of the menu and was most helpful when we started having special requests,,, the only downside at dinner was the restaurant manager who kept appearing with a very disapproving look when we engaged the staff in conversation, the restaurant was not busy, didn't think we were doing any harm being friendly,,, breakfast was amazing, everything was on offer from parma hams to eggs benedict,, I would thoroughly recommend staying here,

Just had my wedding here :) I cannot fault warren the main guy who made my wedding perfect, everything went as smooth as it should, Very pleased, also the ladies and gents on reception absolutely lovely. Now to the guy on the bar tried to tell us we couldnt do contactless payment under £10 my husband said yes you can and swiped his card, Nothing else was said about it so watch out for that. Many people at the wedding were short changed so again watch out. Honeymoon suite was amazing. I would definately stop again but id take my own booze :) overall 👍🏽

Obviously more of a business mans overnight stay type lodge/hotel and at £65 which I paid, demonstrates good value fir money. Modern, clean, comfortable....with one exception. Why do hotels think it's acceptable to provide, lumpy, flat pillows. The idea of a hotel is to provide a safe comfortable nights sleep. For gods sake put fluffy pillows in the room and this would have been 5 stars

This was a wedding. The room was adequate in size and facilities, good even. The wedding and follow-on arrangements were efficiently organised with a plentiful buffet in the evening.
Major complaints arise in the bar - rip-off prices e.g £4 for a 330ml bottle of Budweiser; tendency for short changing as the evening progressed; insistence that contactless payment be minimum £10 (relaxed when challenged). Room service not used but noted the £2.50 charge for every visit to a room by waiting staff - novel, not seen that anywhere else.

I can't fault our visit in any way. The staff were friendly & helpful, the wedding ran perfectly (organisation, food, room, garden area) and our rooms were ready early, clean & well equipped. Above & beyond this the night porter courteously resolved a problem with a very noisy TV in an adjacent room & the receptionist was happy to look after a load of PA kit in her office, & the bridesmaid's shoes and handbag too. Even more impressive, this was the 2nd wedding of 3 this weekend. Well done the whole team!
