We recently tied the knot at the red hall hotel and they delivered the perfect day for us service and staff was top class. The food was sublime especially sticky toffee pudding. The room were very nice too and have to mention the amazing complimentary bridal suite for me and my wife. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be returning for an anniversary visit.

The hotel is about an hour from Manchester Airport by taxi.
Very comfortable rooms, a room set tea / coffee maker, iron and ironing board, a large, comfortable bed.
Reasonable breakfast, I ordered every morning the addition of vegetables (tomato, pepper, cucumber) and omelettes.
The coffee they serve cold,
Should ask them very hot coffee then comes hot coffee
The hotel is very friendly reception staff always help with a smile
Only 2Floors In hotel

We recently visited Red Hall for the first time on a Friday evening stay.
Location is perfect, just of the Motorway although the only thing you hear from outside is the Sheep in the fields as the hotel sits in a lovey location.
The Room, Staff, Food, we're all excellent and the staff are a real credit to this hotel.
The only slight complaint would be the internal sound proofing of rooms as we could hear the conversations, plus everything else going on!! In the room next to ours.
We will return again and try a different room next time.

Visit Ramsbottom/Bury quite frequently to see family and usually stay in a premier Inn because 'we know what to expect' with premier Inn. However thanks to travelzoo i would definitely prioritise a stay at the red hall in the future . Staff were lovely, room was small but nice and the bathroom was much nicer than a PI. Breakfast was great, parking was onsite and the hotel isnt too far from the motorway.

As someone who stays in a multitude of hotels, I apply two main criteria to choosing a booking - 1. read the bad reviews - they're at least as telling as the good ones; and 2. a ratio of nightly price over guest ratings.

I noted in particular the comments back from hotel management on many of their reviews, how they approached the response, and how they conveyed a sense of pride in customer service, and so it met my criteria.

The hotel itself mainly draws its revenue from corporate business during the week and weddings and events at weekends. Many reviews refer to this. Staying on a Sunday night had neither of those groups to contend with.

The hotel, while stylishly in keeping with the architecture of the area, carries the typical room footprints you normally get in chain hotels, so nothing of a character nature there, though they are in great condition, and the rain shower head had great pressure - a bonus. The bar and dining facility is small, but with a decent menu. So the accommodation met expectation, which was market average.

I arrived apparently as the restaurant was within 30 minutes of closing, so having dropped off my bags, went to the restaurant to hear it was already a couple of minutes past last food orders. While there was a small contradiction in time offered between the reception and the restaurant, the gentleman who attended me didn't allow it to be an issue, and ensured I had full choice from the menu.

Unfortunately the food served didn't meet expectations. Something went wrong - it happens, and it doesn't mean it happens as a regular thing - I was probably unfortunate. Nevertheless i sent my food back, which takes me back to the care of service aspect....

The (now different) person behind the bar receiving me immediately asked me if I wanted something else, which I declined as it was late and my appetite gone. That it was offered, and that they wanted to inform chef was a sufficient reaction. Back at my room, shortly after I got a call from reception to take it up with me again - clearly to ensure they could put things right. The following morning, on checkout, a member of management sought me out and again apologized.

So here we have a hotel, which lost one, even two marks based on the food, but immediately made them back up again through their genuine desire for customer service, which clearly has left a better impression on me.

So on balance, geographically well placed, accommodation that meets a standard, a good price, and great customer care. The hotel would have received a higher rating without the incident, and certainly a lower rating without their reaction, so well done to them for turning it around.....

We checked into the room around fourish with the knowledge that there was to be a sportsman's dinner that evening and we were advised to get into our dinner booking on time. No issue with this.
Expecting that 125 people were about to be served I settled in for a wait. Not at all!
The Italian? Waiter was welcoming, got our drinks efficiently and took our order. I had been 'warned' that the menu was expensive, it wasn't, it was good value and the food was very good. We hadn't ordered anything other than 'pub grub' but it was good.
Yes the rooms are not large but they are very clean and comfortable, with a great shower. I send most of the Year away in hotels and I can say these are the 3 main points for anyone.
Have to mention housekeeping who knocked on and couldn't do enough. Fresh towels which were good quality, extra tea and coffee.
All in all very happily surprised.

The reception room was decorated lovely. The area outside the room where you waited for the reception was very tiny with not a lot of seating for 58 people! The chicken dinner served was absolutely delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, definitely not your average banquet meal. The dance floor took awhile to set up however was fine in the end. I would say this was a good choice made by our granddaughter for a reception.

The reason for my title for this review is that I was taken very unwell in the dining room during our first night there, and the staff responded so quickly and tactfully, and only showed concern for me. I left them with some cleaning up to do, but they waved away my apology. Not all hotels would have dealt so well. Unfortunately it seems I had picked up a virus, so in the morning we checked out instead of our 2 night stay and with out breakfast. As if that wasn't enough I then found out when I got home that I had left my hand bag and my husbands coat on the bed. But the staff had already rang our home and left messages on the answering machine. We had invited friends to join us for dinner that night, as they lived fairly near to the Red Hall when I told them what had happened they volunteered to go the the hotel and collect the bag and coat, and bring it to our home in N. Wales. I think we were lucky in our choice of hotel and friends. We will return to the Red Hall as soon as we can, the hotel is spotless in all areas and lovely big rooms too. The dining room is really comfortable and well designed, all in all one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in for a long time

Almost faultless!!! Friendly staff, nice evening meal (one of our party was vegan, unfortunately nothing for her other than soup). Room was nice and clean. I stay in a lot of hotels, and I can say that the shower is about the best ever!!! Nice breakfast!!! Definitely recommended!!!

This is our third year holding our annual event at the Red Hall Hotel. Every year it just gets better and better. Warren the manager is very helpful, as is all the other staff. The night went well without any hitches and was enjoyed by all. Thanks Red Hall. See you again next year

Recommended by friends and was not disappointed. Staff very friendly and welcoming, room was excellent, clean and very well put together. Lovely view of fields and sheep so nice and quiet. Had lunch in restaurant, great choices and good quality ingredients at reasonable prices. We paid just over £50.00 per room including breakfast .....so go figure. Stayed in more expensive hotels and not enjoyed it as much as this one. Will be back !!

Love this restaurant. Great staff, great food, good price. What else do you want?! Thanks Red Hall, this is not the first or the last visit for myself and my wife. The lunch set menu is what we plumped for. At £12 for two courses or £14 for three, we like the price and the quality of the food & presentation is top notch.

I held my 50th birthday with 80 plus guests here in the Holcolme Suite. Warren & Donna sorted out pretty much everything & nothing was a problem for them. You'd be hard pushed to find a friendlier pair of people. The function room was perfect with its own bar, drink prices are reasonable & the food was amazing. An LED dance floor was provided & a DJ was recommended who had the dance floor full. All the staff couldn't do enough for you. We stayed over at the hotel & the rooms are nice, clean & have great bathrooms. Breakfast was tasty with an extensive menu. A few guests had food on the Saturday afternoon & all commented how good the food was.
After the party the feedback from my guests was all full of praise for the venue, staff & food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend someone to stay here & especially have a party. I'm back again in a few weeks for someone who has booked a party for 90 people.

We arrived on a cold evening in January. We were made very welcome from the beginning. The room was of a high standard especially for the price we paid. The restaurant food was lovely and the service was good. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and then joined the hotel staff party next door. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff at the party and had a really great night. Holly was amazing. Very helpful and professional but also friendly and engaging. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered a good choice and was delicious. All in all a great experience before we journeyed on to Yorkshire. We will definitely come again.

This hotel was lovely from start to finish. We arrived on Saturday afternoon, everything was in order. Reception and bar staff very efficient and friendly. Had a light lunch and a drink whilst waiting for other friends to arrive. The room was lovely, warm, comfortable, plenty of hot water and we didn't hear any noise during the night. The function was really good, most enjoyable and the meat and potato pie and curry served during the buffet was lovely and at the correct temperature. The breakfast which was included in the price, was extensive, something for everyone. Nothing during the whole of this stay was any trouble for the staff. Will definitely recommend and will certainly stay again. Will also pop over for a Sunday lunch in Oscar's restaurant in the not too distant future.

I have stayed here many times and it's a great hotel.

The restaurant seems to have gone downhill since my last visit.

The menu was very limited and the Food wasn't much kop. Tasteless burger swimming in oil from the onion rings which were not mentioned on the menu. Menu said 'fat chips' but French fries served. No sauces offered.

The breakfast is a bit pricey unless you have it included in your room rate.

Hotel is good - eat elsewhere!

My husband and I booked a night here for a bit of 'us' time.
The hotel is really nice, the first impressions are excellent because the outdoor space is immaculate. I imagine it is stunning in the Summer.
Our room was lovely and immaculately clean. The whole hotel was spotless amd you can tell it is loved and looked after.
The staff reasonably friendly and very professional. We didn't get to try Oscar's restaurant as we both fell ill in the evening, we didn't even have the breakfast the next morning.
I would stay again, and if you are going to stay be prepared for the expensive prices at the bar.

Stayed in the hotel on 14th December and decided to eat in the restaurant (Oscar's). Having eaten there previously was very disappointed this time. The waiter looked very stressed and not very welcoming. There was only a set menu to choose from not the choice of menu we had previously. The starter I was ordering was changed to prawn cocktail which I did have but no taste to it at all. The main course of butternut squash in filo pastry was very good. Overall was very disappointed.

I don't want to write a bad review, it's a great place, lovely and it looked Amazing with Christmas decorations, the food was delicious but was cold I can cope with this as there was 18 of us eating, for the £14 I paid I expected more, iv been to The Old Mill down the road and for £15 I would get double even though the meat says it's 8oz... the staff was lovely sorry for writing a bad review but it was a bad experience.

Stayed here for one night while attending a function in bury, check in was quick and easy and the reception staff were very welcoming. booked a double room which was excellent value for the £50 we paid. called into the bar before going out for the night, a nice area to sit and very reasonably priced for an hotel. The hotel is just north of bury centre and a taxi cost around £8 each way.
we would definately stay here again

Ive stayed at this Hotel many times over the past 2 years and it has never let me down. Its spotlessly clean, quiet, and the food is delicious in Oscars restaurant.
Its very reasonably priced with breakfast included which is also wonderful, with a great cooked breakfast menu. I can't praise this hotel enough you will have to experience it yourself!!!
They always try to accommodate whatever you request, i.e. quiet room or ground floor. 10/10!!

Attended a family wedding and stayed the night before and the wedding day night, the hotel is lovely, the rooms are spacious well equipped with everything you need, throughly enjoyed the two days with just a couple of disappointing things, we booked a meal for the wedding party the night before although the food was lovely, it took a long while to be served, and the brides meal was wrong they advised it would be another 15 minutes to prepare the correct meal, at which point the bride asked for something else which we assumed would be quicker, macaroni cheese, however this also took about 15-20 minutes to be served at which point the rest of the party had all finished their meals. There was also something left on the table which I would have assumed would be put to one side for collection later, however it couldn't be found, and was told it was probably thrown away, surely it should be common practice to hold onto any items for a couple of days before disposing?all in all with the exception of these two hiccups we had a lovely time the room was beautifully dressed and the staff reasonably attentive.

We enjoyed a four night stay at The Red Hall Hotel at the end of October. The staff are excellent, Jason, Dan, Thomas, Caitlin and Stephanie and all the others too, so pleasant and welcoming.Any request is dealt with efficiently and with a smile.
The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food is delicious and beautifully served, there is also a welcoming 24 hour bar. The hotel is convenient for road travel and also a short distance to the tram stop at Whitefields Park & Ride, then a smooth journey into Manchester.
This was a return visit for us, we were not disappointed, hoping to go back again soon.

I stayed here for a night for my sisters wedding, and it was absolutely beautiful.
Everything was perfect and I would definitely stay there again.
The rooms were spectacular, the only problem I had was with the tv, it didn't work properly and the other rooms TVs weren't that great either but other than that no problems 😁
