Bromley’s Churchill Theatre welcomes home ‘talented, scene-stealing young actress’ Naomi Morris, who makes her professional musical theatre debut in the UK tour of WONDERLAND.

Naomi, who went to Thomas Tallis School in Kidbrooke, whilst attending weekend classes at local stage school D&B Academy of Performing Arts, makes her debut ahead of receiving any full-time professional arts training. Whilst growing up in Hither Green, as a keen musician, Morris belonged to the choir at Greenwich Academy of Music and Drama. She was also a member of the National Youth Music Theatre, whose alumni include Matt Lucas, Sheridan Smith and Jessie J.

Fellow company member Phoebe May Newman from Lee, who attended the internationally renowned Bird College in Sidcup, also makes her professional debut in WONDERLAND.

The actresses are joined in the show’s ensemble by D&B Academy’s guest teacher Lewis Easter, who has recently toured the UK with Cameron Mackintosh’s BARNUM.

Hailed by critics as ‘fabulous, fast paced, colourful and lively with a superb original musical score and a simply outstanding cast’, WONDERLAND is delighting audiences throughout the UK. It’s an enchanting musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, with a huge heart, a medley of magic and a whole lot of wonder. It is a timely and touching story of love and an adventurous exploration of who we are, who we want to be and the power of everyday magic in our lives.

The stellar cast includes West End star and accomplished actress Wendi Peters, well known for her portrayal of Cilla Battersby-Brown in Coronation Street, as Queen of Hearts and musical theatre star Dave Willetts, who rose to fame for playing the title role in The Phantom of the Opera, as White Rabbit.

For the Bromley dates, leading lady Kerry Ellis will guest star in the title role of Alice. Kerry is one of the West End and Broadway’s most notable stars, having played lead roles in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Cats, Oliver! and Miss Saigon. She has also achieved chart-topping success as a recording artist, including collaborations with Queen guitarist Brian May.

Following sold out seasons in Tampa, Texas and Tokyo, the multi Grammy, Tony and Drama Desk Award nominated Frank Wildhorn’s Wonderland plays at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th March 2017 as part of its first ever UK tour.
