I have been lunching at Olympus Bolton along with my sister each Wednesday since years before lockdown.
All the serving staff and those who take your order behind the counter, in particular Linda and also, a gentleman, I think his name is Ali, are excellent and always make us feel welcome. It is very nice when loyal custom is appreciated by the staff.
We order Fish & Chips (pensioner’s special) which is good value, plentiful and delicious. The restaurant is kept clean and tidy with a good hygiene value of 5. The owner Tasos keeps a VERY keen eye on everything ensuring the service he expects from the staff is upheld.
Would highly recommend, not only for lunch but afternoon tea is good as well.

Fantastic.... lots of friendly staff so no waiting and all table service. The actual restaurant is a large well designed room with plenty of seating, what is slightly unusual is it has a takeaway chip shop attached which is were everything is prepared. Fantastic quality of food what ever you decide to have.

This place never ever disappoints. The welcome is always warm and friendly , the place is stylish and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is relaxing and the star of the show the food is 10/10 delicious.
I had the Haddock Special , it was beautifully cooked white fish , lightly battered and not greasy at all , accompanied by freshly cooked chips , mushy peas , bread and butter and a pot of tea.
The service was friendly and efficient. They found not do more. Thank you to everyone .

Passed Olympus for years, but didnt go in. A mate of mine suggested we go. Absolutely amazing, proper chip shop chips crunchy with fluffy potato, the fish, beautiful tender fish with a batter to die for, paired with mushy peas and a slice of buttered bread, I can die happy. Staff amazing, service amazing, atmosphere amazing. Big thumbs up.

We had booked to go to the octagon theatre and needed somewhere to eat prior to the show so having been here before we decided to try again. We weren’t disappointed. I had grilled plaice, it was super, while my wife had a steak pudding, again it was lovely.

I Oder cod and chips. It was cooked well . The chips were really good and I liked the cod and peas too. Portions are decent. Service was great, everyone was polite. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect.

Well what can I say other than this restaurant never fails to impress !
The staff, food and service have always been amazing yet the other week, they absolutely excelled themselves when my 86yr old Mother started to feel very hot, clammy and not at all well.
Ali I believe his name, the Head Waiter who has been with this family for twenty something years, in particular took over the situation with such calmness and expertise and looked after my Mother as if she was his own.
It was Valentines Day, he was greeting customers, handing out red carnations to all the Ladies as well as seating everyone, he was outstanding !
I then met the lady owner Olga, who whilst still working in her (80's) was also most concerned with Mums welfare and made completely sure we were both very well looked after.
Mum eventually felt well enough to finish her food and her visit.
Everyone concerned that day, I want to say a huge "thank you " to you all for your kindness and concern. Everyone was simply amazing and I would not hesitate to say a visit here is well worth it.
