If in Bolton it's a must, excellent restaurant with orangery. The service is first class and family friendly. Disabled and seniors are taken great care of. Nothing is too much trouble. Management and staff are first class. Many old traditions are used. Such as openning the door for you, pulling chairs out. Help with your coat and bags. Food is first class really highly recommended fabulous

We cannot praise this establishment enough!
A visit by our school party ( 18 children and 4 adults ) proved to be a very enjoyable experience.
We were welcomed in, tables moved, staff made available and generally treated as V.I.P's.
Our food arrived quickly and was cooked beautifully. Service was very much with a smile.
Ice creams were offered ( and needless to say accepted by our children ) and once again the little touch of a flake and extra various toppings made everybody happy.

Lots of our children said they are to visit again with their families and your hospitality ( and extremely good food ) will be remembered.

They could do with better taps in the W.C. and a hand disinfectant dispenser would be an idea.
The breakfast is edible but could be a lot better. They need some one who can cook a real English breakfast.
Prices are a touch on the expensive side.

Been a few times now and what a charming place with a pianist on at various times
Traditional fish & chip restaurant with a lovely conservatory part and lovely food including bread and butter and pots of tea
Love the crockery and just the whole ambiance of the place
If there is one criticism and why I didn't rate it 5 and this could just be my personal preference but I would prefer my batter to be a bit lighter!

We went with stroke support group last year. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Nice place to spend time and have a food. I love their mosaka. It was delicious. Reasonable price as well.

Once again there was no bad service in sight. Exactly what you order in a timely fashion and with a smile on there faces. The staff here are exceptional. Will revisit again shortly.

been on a coach trip to visit Blackpool,and as part of the tour we visited the Olympus restaurant for our lunch.
although we were a party of 31 people we were treated vey well,the fish and chips were perfect,and I consider myself a bit of a expert living as I do by the seaside.

This is first time we been here. It isn't 'the best fish and chips we had it was very greasy. The chips were ok. We will not be back.

When we opened the door we were directed to a seat or offered another if we preferred
We decided to have the special
Fish Chips bread and butter and a coffee
I went and paid at the counter and before you had time to blink a delicious hot meal arrived it looked fantastic
Then someone else brought our coffee's with a jug of cream
The food was excellent
The service I don't think you would get better at a five star hotel
If your in Bolton this is the place to go
All excellent plus a fantastic team effort

Called in yesterday for lunch having read good reviews - was NOT disappointed, meal was lovely. The service was fast & friendly, Decor is tasteful, place is spotless, toilets clean. Icing on the cake was the live piano accompaniment to our meal
especialy it being jazz orientated for me. Not cheap but I can say that you do get what you pay for and in this case that maxim rings true.

Olympus is one of the best fish and chip restaurants in lancashire the just enough menu is a little cheaper but if you are looking for great fish and chips in Bolton go no further or you can always try there fish and chip shop next door eat outdoors in the paper

One can not fault The Olympus. Staff kind and courteous always with a smile. Pianist playing. Service fast and efficient. We always get small portion fish dinner. Fish very fresh and real potatoes used for chips. The only reason we go to Bolton. Would recommend.

Although the title seems somewhat bizarre, that is exactly what occurred on my last visit to Olympus - with friends. A small theatre company musical was being performed there - following dinner of .... fish and chips, tea or coffee or, if you wished a bottle of wine. The service was - as always excellent - the food was freshly cooked, tasty and as per usual standards. Olympus put on evenings like this throughout the year - with food and/or music which just adds to the overall enjoyment factor that the owner gives to his public. If you ever visit Bolton I would highly recommend - just at the junction of Newport Street and Great Moor Street. They have a take away chippy, a sit in to eat chippy and the restaurant - can't beat it - the pride of Bolton.

I went to Olympus as they were ready for closing,the chips were insipid and didn't taste very nice. Next time I visit I wont be going near closing.
