I stayed here for a course at work for four weeks, and the time spent here was comfortable, practical and some of the staff were brilliant.
The facilities were great, gym was better than I expected from a hotel and swimming pool area was also a nice place to wind down.
Breakfast was also included, many thanks to Lydia for always being friendly in the mornings.
A special thanks to Daisy, Joshua, and Katie. They were all approachable, friendly, and had great banter. They created a really nice environment in a temporary home away from home.

Had a lovely stay, the team working this weekend was lovely and very helpful. Excellent service and food was nice. Only had difficulty with shower in the morning on first day but had to do with everyone using them at that time.

Had our wedding here last Monday and it was beautiful! The staff were amazing and couldn't have done more! They went above and beyond. Rochelle and the team were exceptional. Our rooms were stunning! Thank you for making the happiest day of my life even happier! I highly recommend this venue for any occasion!

We went here for a Comedy weekend. Faulty Towers. Everything was perfect and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in in a hotel.

My partner and I were treated to afternoon tea. We arrived at the hotel and parked in the spacious carpark. Once inside we were greeted by the reception staff and made very welcome. I was escorted to the lift for wheelchair users. Then immediately welcomed by Irene who couldn't of been more accommodating. Nothing was to much trouble. The afternoon tea was delicious and extremely filling. So much so that Irene gave us the things we couldn't eat home with us is a tub.
The hotel was clean, tidy and inviting. It had a nice relaxing atmosphere and tastefully decorated.
I'd absolutely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is good. I liked the room.
The service was good, especially in the restaurant. I would like to thank the VESI employee for her guidance. Very helpful and attentive and admirably friendly.

We stayed here for a romantic night away and the hotel did not disappoint. It isn’t too far from Middlebrook shops/restaurants so is handy if wanting to go out in the evenings. The room was lovely, bed was really comfy & spacious. Claire the hotel manager went above and beyond to decorate the room last minute and it was better than we could have expected. The breakfast is good quality, with a variety of cereals, fruits, yogurts to choose from as well as a cooked breakfast.
The reception staff on check in and check out were polite and helpful, especially as we have never stayed here before.
I would definitely recommend to others & stay here again if i’m in the area.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms are not too big but have great beds, I slept very well.
Bar alcohol was overpriced but so are kost hotels.

My son and his wife booked my wife and myself in for afternoon tea as a surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were looked after by Irene. She couldn’t do enough for us. The food was fresh and tasty and the tea freshly brewed. The service was prompt, but we were not rushed in any way. There was too much to eat, so Irene boxed up the remainder for us to take home. Thank you to everybody who made our day.

Went for a works doo in the Rivington room, the food was hot, well presented and very good, and the service were excellent. The staff are very accommodating.

Lovely hotel, had a weekend away, rooms were spotless and big, all staff were very hospitable and friendly, esp Irene at the bar was very hospitable and accommodating, couldn't do enough for us, we spilt a drink and she shot over and cleaned it up, telling us not to worry, all sorted, it happens all the time, and noticing when we needed a refill, asking us if we needed another drink or anything else, will be leaving her a tip, with this review.

We arrived at the Mercure on a very blustery day and the lovely warm lounge was at our disposal. Irene was very attentive and looked after us well. Our afternoon tea was well presented, delicious and very filling! Too much to eat whilst we were there, but Irene sorted out take home goody boxes. A very pleasant experience and we were able to watch TV too!

Check in/out staff friendly and helpful. Room lovely and fresh. Bathroom clean and I was especially impressed with the grab rail as it is the first hotel I have stayed in which has one!

Visited the pool and stopped for lunch. The overall impression of the facilities were that they could do with some tlc. Service for lunch was slow but friendly, limited choice to eat as some items unavailable. What we did have was nice.
