Reasonable example of the Mercure hotels but sadly in need of room upgrades/ refurbishment. Would not hang my suit in the wardroom, as a bad musty odour does not go diwn well with clients at meetings.

Exec Summary: Good value for money and I'd stay again.
All of the staff were welcoming, without being sycophantic. The breakfast was very good for hotels of this rating. I watched freshly cooked food come out of the kitchen, served by a very hospitable member of staff. The car park is large and the common areas clean. The bed was comfortable.
I would invest in a few things: Some of the interiors need a touch up of paint, and the windows are showing their age. Power points with USB connections would have been welcomed.
The hotel is a little out of the way, but not massively inconvenient. The M6 can be heard from the rooms, not that this bothered me, it also means that access to the motorway is convenient.

Always stay at The Mecure Bolton Georgian House when on business. The hotel is perfect for me to get to work and the staff, moreover Lynda, who always has a smile at breakfast! At 0630 in the morning it is lovely to see. Starts the day off well. The rooms are comfortable, shower is lovely. No complaints.

I work with a local Dementia Support charity, who are now hosting a weekly Memory Cafe at this hotel. We provide drinks, cakes, an entertainer sings and fills the dancefloor, before a quiz and a raffle.
Our members enjoy the cafe, but it has only been made possible by the help and enthusiastic support of the Mercure Bolton Georgian House hotel team.
We have had huge support from Zoe and the hotel manager, and efficient admin arrangements from Anuja.
The on-the-day team of Nadine and Julie have been available any time we've needed them, and have willingly provided help, going over and above what they need to do. There are also other hard working hotel staff that we don't see, but who set up the room for us and move chairs, tables and other things before we arrive.
The whole hotel team are a pleasure to work with - they are friendly and efficient - and I'm sure their commitment to their roles is reflected throughout the rest of the hotel for the benefit of their guests!
We are very grateful for their support for our activities, and we know our members appreciate it too.

Stay at this hotel pretty regularly aways clean comfortable room with a good breakfast.
Have to give a shout out to the girls on duty at breakfast
Rachel and Valeral (sorry if i have misspelled your name) as we had a dog with us our breakfast area was placed in an adjacent room. Two tables and five chairs were brought to us. The girls went out of their way to accommodate our party.

I wrote a review yesterday, but it doesn’t look like I entered it correctly, so I’m trying again!
My wife and I called in for coffees, as we were passing.
They have a spacious car park, and the hotel is just off the M61, near the Middlebrook shopping centre.
The coffees were wonderful, much better than I expected from a hotel, and the bar area was lovely - clean and welcoming.
There was a nice ‘buzz’ about the place, all customers seemed happy.
Irene served us, and couldn’t have been more helpful. She was cheerful and friendly and really set the tone.
At one point she noticed a disabled guest had left her handbag and rushed after her, to give it back.
She’s a great ambassador for the hotel.
I’ll certainly return, and I may try one of their Christmas events - they look enticing!

Second time we have been for lunch, the service and the food really lovely. It’s such a relaxing place, the staff are really welcoming and very efficient. It’s definitely one of the best in the area.

Food was delicious. And the hot tub was really nice and warm as well as a great sauna and steam room. Rooms were basic, but the hotel was clean and the staff really nice. Breakfast and dinner were really good.

Came to visit the Mercure Bolton All the staff were very helpful and polite. As I visited with my dog great to see how dog friendly the hotel is and the attention they give to not only you but your furry friends. Kim in the bar went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that my dog had plenty of water and treats. I will definitely visit again.
