Me and my daughter recently had the pleasure of staying at Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel during our trip for a fencing tournament at Bolton Arena . Our experience was nothing short of excellent! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who made us feel right at home.
The hotel itself exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, and the bathroom amenities provided were top-notch. The pictures of the rooms when booking online do not reflect the actual condition of the rooms when you check in. Friendly staff but rooms are very dated and in desperate need of renovation. I booked a privilege room but was very disappointed with it overall which made it very poor value for money for what I paid for it. I have stayed here before and the standard Room was better in my opinion. Room was clean but I will not be staying here again as it is just not up to a good standard which is a shame as I'm sure it was a very nice place when it was new. No criticism of the staff as they were very nice.

Nice hotel with all the basic stuff you need. Very good addition is pool if you like to swim and relax. The only downside is a small amount of seats at the dining area.

We came for a nice peaceful stay and opted for a late check out and that's just what we got. The breakfast had great options and plenty of room in the dining area. The receptionist Bruna was very friendly and helpful and checked us in and out and she explained where everything was. The leisure facilities were great. After our stay we're feeling all chilled ready for another busy week. So thank you!

Just completed first stages of Guide Dog training with 3 people, who stayed at the hotel whilst carrying out the training process. With visual, hearing loss and some medical considerations it was important the needs of the guests were met and adaptions made. All staff were very friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure the guests felt relaxed and safe during their stay. The guests gave excellent feedback on how good the staff were during meals times etc. This makes a big difference to help success with their Guide Dog training.
Particular mention to Julie (Marmite 😉) who ensured one particular guest made it out of the building to the fire assembly point promptly and safely when an unexpected fire alarm went off which he wasn’t aware of.

I am a regular guest ( through an organisation for work). Disappointed to get a twin room but accepted it. Bed moved whenever I turned over. It was roasting hot and there were no fans. At least three items were unavailable on what is a very limited bar menu - burger was delicious though it has to be said but I was really looking forward to fish and chips. Lovely friendly young bar staff and reception and breakfast staff are always outstanding.

Such an amazing day for my mother in-law afternoon tea and spa for her 70th birthday David Longcake went above and beyond to make her day all the staff were amazing as i lost my keys and they found them for me so thank you all so much x looking forward to ladies day. I cant rate the rooms as we didnt stay over.
