I attended the hotel for a training course and can say the rooms used and the service at the hotel bar/restaurant was fantastic. The bar staff member Kim was especially polite and helpful.

Claire at check-in was amazing – so friendly and efficient! Keaton prepared wonderful food that was absolutely delicious, and we even had a nice, small chat with him, which made the experience even better. Great service! Well done!

Came here for a conference and the staff were so lovely, making sure we had everything we needed as well as feeding us when we were hungry! Julie was an outstanding staff member and nothing was too much to ask, a true asset to the staff.

We went there as was given a gift for afternoon tea.
We were welcome by Irene and served throughout the afternoon by her. She made the experience pleasant and memorable. Irene ensured we got a seat near the radiator as it was a cold day. She also went out the way to get us vegetarian sandwiches. The food and tea was good. Overall, it was made a great experience thanks to Irene.

We stayed here for two nights (30 Dec - 1 Jan), as we were attending the New Year's Eve party for families in the hotel. It was a fantastic event for families with kids, and kids could be themselves and run around as much as they liked and nobody was bothered. Our 7-year-old loved it. Much better option than trying to take your kids to a fancy restaurant to celebrate the New Year. Plus there is a spa / pool facility there too, also great to keep them occupied during the day whilst waiting for the evening event. Good VFM too. Staff were very helpful, both during our stay and when we were arranging the booking. I'm sure we'll be back again next year to attend the family party. My only piece of advice to the hotel would be not to include the Yorkshire Pudding wrap in the party menu (it was a large Yorkshire Pudding stuffed with a Christmas dinner - seeing everything piled up together inside it put me off and I left it and opted for chicken nuggets instead).

Love this place. We had our usual family room and it was very kindly decorated for our daughters birthday, a lovely and very thoughtful surprise. Staff as always friendly and always give a warm welcome. Nadine Thank you Thank you Thank you. Irene on the bar and Julie and Lydia wonderful breakfast waitresses. A lovely couple of days and already looking forward to next time.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the M61 motorway. The area gives a rural feel whilst being a short distance away from all the amenities at the Middlebrook complex.
On arrival the lady at the reception desk was extremely polite. We found the hotel to be clean and the rooms were of a good standard. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Had a meeting in the lounge bar. Irene bar staff was excellent, friendly, professional, obliging and cared about her customers. Give that woman a pay rise 😚. I will return as great venue for a work meeting. Irene also offered a quite room I could use if required. She is a great representative of Mercure Hotels.
