XL BULLY FRIENDLY AND THE BEST STAFF!!
We stayed here over the weekend and to say we were pleased with our stay really is an understatement - From the intial call to book, to checking out we have been impressed! Yes, its not a 5* hotel but come on people what do you expect! It was clean, comfy, and has a pool and spa facilities so really more could you ask for, for the money! Special shout out to Tasha who looked after us and the doggos - she put us in a bigger room so we had plenty of room for the crates for the dogs, wine and treats for us on arrival and toys and treats for the dogs along with a personal message! Not forgetting, Irene - big shout out to her as well! Really looked after us with dinner, drinks and sorting our breakfast out on the day we checked out! You ladies made such a difference to our experience and you both deserve a pay rise - you can tell you really love your job and people :) !! They both took time out of their day to talk to us about our dogs and took an interest in them! We would 100% stay here again and would certainly reccomend to anyone who has been nervous about going anywhere with your 'typed dog' these guys didnt discriminate and way out of their way to make our trip as stress free as possible! Great place to stay. Breakfast Hostess Lydia was very helpful in our breakfast needs. Lydia did an exceptional job with all hotel occupants at breakfast. Wish we had more employees like Lydia in the USA. Thank you 🙏

Enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Bolton and the lady behind the bar (Irene) was very nice, lovely and friendly she was extremely polite and helpful and made are stay pleasant x

Lovely clean hotel. All staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. Shout out to Irene behind the bar reserving a table for evening meal and Sheila on reception, very approachable and helpful. Ideal location for our visit. Great pool and spa. Will definitely be returning

On our visit Aug 3rd 2024, on our arrival Sheila was so pleasant and helpful, we shortly after went to the bar where Irene was serving, talking to her about a table for the evening she said that she would reserve on for us, she then above and beyond she set the table for us, all staff that we saw that evening were so helpful and attentive, praise to all your staff.

2nd time we have been to this hotel for a event, 1st time was our friends wedding and tonight was an 80s night. The ladies all had fun and sang along to most of the songs.

Il personale è gentile e accogliente ,le camere a mio parere andrebbero rimodernate , la pulizia è migliore di tanti altri hotel blasonati . Poi c'è Lydia che ti accoglie al mattino a colazione , è una persona gentilissima e squisita ho dato 5 stelle al servizio xké nn è possibile dare più stelle , ma se ne meriterebbe 10.

Really nice place, great bar, nice rooms, really good for weddings & conferences ect. Good reasonable prices ect. There venue dresser also does an Amazing job of there weddings. Looks unreal and busy with weddings & party's all the time

What a lovely friendly welcome we received at reception.
Everyone we met at the hotel were so helpful.
The room was large and the bed was 2 3ft beds joined together. Very comfortable.
The decor could be improved though the bathroom was very clean.
We had breakfast in the hotel Lydia was very helpful and friendly and made sure we were looked after.
Really enjoyed using the pool and jacuzzi too.

Thank you, we had a very relaxing weekend, despite the business purpose we came for. The accommodations were comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the amenities, such as the swimming pool. It was a great balance of work and leisure, and we look forward to returning in the future!

I really liked my stay last weekend at the Mercure. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and engaging, as well as the gym staff. The sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were fantastic and a real treat for the price of the room. The breakfast was good, offering cooked and continental, and ordinary British cereals.

The rooms are basic but comfortable.
Special mention goes for Irene at the bar whos service was first class, she really did go above and beyond looking after me and my family. She was friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, if only more hotels had more Irenes! 🙂

Great stay for work at the Mercure Bolton, the rooms are clean, some upgrades are underway which is only going to further improve the experience. The best part of my stay had to be the staff! I travel a lot for work and never in a hotel chain have I experienced such friendly staff! From check-in to bar staff and my favourite Lydia welcoming me every day for breakfast! She was like a ray of sunshine when I’m my normal pre-caffeinated grumpy self! It may not be quite as cheap as the premier inn, but the extra few pounds a night for me was definitely worth the experience.
