Should of been excellent, marred by lack of planning and communication from venue. The complex is superb with a really good variety of of amenities. The food in the restaurant was superb. Upon arrival discovered that a Hen party and wedding was taking place to the rear of our room, whilst I appreciate that the venue caters for these events, to have children playing football outside your room till 1130 and then guests entering their rooms at 0130 and proceeding to play music / televisions extremely loud and what I can only describe as complete a cross fit class before bed, really ruined the stay for me, it should have been a relaxing stay for my wedding anniversary, I left more stressed then I arrived!

We got married in the harmony suite at the last drop in May 2022, which was an amazing day as per my trip advisor review. 8 weeks later we needed a wake for my husband's mother, Liz at the last drop yet again could not of been more helpful in a stressful situation. We used the harmony suite again which was perfect as it is quiet and away from the main hotel for privacy. The food was excellent and Zoe who helped manage the wake was as excellent as she was on our wedding day. Thanks Liz and Zoe for all your help. Would highly recommend the last drop if in need of a venue for a wake.

We just recently got married at this beautiful hotel and We wouldn’t recommend this place enough.

We fell in love with the hotel after staying there a couple of times in the past. It has a fabulous spa, the grounds are gorgeous and it’s dog friendly.

From the day we booked our wedding And meeting the lovely Liz we new everything would be perfect and this is what it was. Liz was brilliant she was always there to answer all my questions and always checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. She made everything so easy and stress free for us.

On the day of the wedding it couldn’t of gone anymore perfect if we tried. Everyone commented on the hotel and grounds and how stunning it was! We got married in the penny farthing suite and the day of our wedding it was a lovely sunny day so everyone got to make use of the lovely outside seating area around the wishing well!

We also want to say a big thank you to Stuart. He was on hand all day and always made sure me and my husband had a drink in hand at all times 🤣 which we loved, nothing we asked for was too much for them. They really do go above and beyond for you.

All in all I couldn’t recommend this place enough, we will be sure to visit again soon.

We viewed a few wedding venues back in 2020 when we started to plan our wedding. We chose The Last drop and booked for July 2021. Unfortunatley we had to rearrange to 2022 due to covid.

Liz the wedding planner is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She went way above and beyond any of expectations in the planning, the lead up and on the day. The whole team around here did an amazing job.

The hotel is a lovely setting, the rooms were lovely and the food was amazing.

We couldn't have been happier with the service and all the amenties on site.

Good but avoid the mushrooms The spa was amazing, made me feel really relaxed and the staff were very friendly there. The mushrooms at breakfast were poor, they tasted like canned mushrooms maybe replace them with better produce. Pillows are a little on the hard side

My husband and I married here on 9th July this year. We could not have chosen a better place to celebrate! We should have married here 2 years ago but had to delay because of covid. Our wedding coordinator Jaqueline was so supportive throughout the whole process along with Liz who kept me up to date through the lockdowns. Jacqueline worked with us closely to plan every little detail and was very happy to help us piece together everything we imagined for our big day. Another lovely touch was a hand written card from Paul the hotel general manager wishing us a happy wedding day - so thoughtful! Nassa our master of ceremonies was also amazing, he kept the day running smoothly and it was clear he was a great support to the other members of staff working that day. Every member of staff was a credit to the hotel! Everything from the organisation to the food, staff and beautiful venue. Everything was perfect! It certainly was a day to remember and we would like to extend the biggest thanks to everyone at The Last Drop Village that helped us make this happen!

There are too many people who are quick to pass on negative experiences, yet positive ones, not so much.
We visited here over the weekend, it was excellent. Yes there were some bumps in our stay, however what made this stay was the Manageress of the spa - Louise. We had an uncomfortable situation which she rectified immediately, with discretion and kindness. At some point, no matter where you go, you will come across some sort of issue, big or small, as long as you receive the service we did, this is what will make us come back again and again. Thank you Louise for your excellent manner.

Nice spa, nice breakfast. The spa and swimming pool where very nice. The front of the hotel and the staff where good. The breakfast was nice. Not good Value for money, the room was small, not enough tea/coffee or milk, only enough for one cup. There where two of us, no shower gel or robes, The carpet felt sticky, tried to order room service but no answer after 15-20 minutes and ended up getting dressed to go down to order food and brought it back to our room our self. Not what we wanted after a very long drive.

We combined an overnight stay with NHS discounts which included evening meal and breakfast and then added on a spa day with afternoon tea for my daughters birthday. The evening meal was excellent , I just wished I had chosen the duck too which was exceptional although I did enjoy my pork fillets . Staff were helpful , welcoming and friendly and we thooroughly enjoyed the relaxing spa with several different hot saunas , hydrotherapy and aromatherapy rooms. Sadly the inifinity pool looked directl out onto a new housing development and we felt a touch exposed , possibly the hotel could consider some fast growing hedge or trees to give more secluded feel. We did have a lovely full body massage before a tasty afternoon tea . Excellent value for money especially with the NHS discount and could not fault the efficient and friendly welcome and service from the staff. Thank you

Lovely hotel and spa, impressive. Location very picturesque. Three lovely walks directly from the hotel, wanted to explore all of them hopefully another time.
Check in and out can be done just have to collect key and sign form upon arrival, drop key in the box provided when leaving.
Booked directly on the website but checked with staff prior. An issue on arrival for some reason only 1 person had been confirmed -system default is 2 persons! I sorted out in the morning due to the late check in at midnight. We were not offered a welcome drink or the £10 voucher as mentioned when booking directly on the website.
Back entrace to the executive building card reader faulty - please fix wasnt working when we left after 2 days. wet and tired and had to get someone to come round to let us in or walk all the way round with luggage to the main entrance. We didnt see the other side entrance due to late night and dark.
Room was decent, bit bare i think, no floor lamp, or table lamp and expected a mini fridge. like the full length mirrors, iron and board was provided, but no hairdryer had to ask for one. Lovely fluffy robes and slippers provided as well as miniscule bathroom toiletries (pet hate) how can that be enough for 2 adults? especially when you have paid the full room rate. Most hotel are going eco friendly and use dispensers for all bathroom toiletries. No tissue box, sanitary bags or glasses in the bathroom for a 4 star hotel this is standard.
Bed was excellent and pillows, had a great sleep. Really appreciated plug sockets on both sides of the bed.We had a lovely view overlooking the fields from our room.
It is set in a lovely village and was very quirky, grounds are beautiful.
Breakfast had a fairly good selection, there was no hot menu to choose from only hot and cold buffets. The experinced stafff were friendly and bar staff were very pleasant. Didnt order any other food during my stay so cant comment on that.
Spa facilities were impressive, fair size 18 m pool only used first thing in the monring but when busy could get cramped. The Hydro pool (hot) with jets every so often was wonderful never had anything quite like that in all the hotels i have stayed, overlooking the car park area but looking over the countryside would have been perfect, but nevertheless was still quite something. There were 2 different saunas and 3 steam rooms what a treat. thirsty work wasnt aware there was a drink sstation somewhere! only water fountain.

Visited 26th July. Booked in for SPA treatment. Hero treatment -back, scalp and facial. Met by Leanne my beauty therapist. From the moment I arrived and left Leanne was very warm and welcoming. I have had many massages, facials ect in uk and abroad. However, I believe this was the best one I have ever had by far. Simply because Leanne instinctively knew where my knots and stress was and actually managed to release and relief those areas. Her technique was meaningful and did not feel that it was "another routine massage for the next customer" I actually dozed off and again another 1st for me. X

I always use this hotel when visiting this area as it is a nice comfortable stay, quiet and good food. On this last occasion i visited i would recommend that you do not book room 59 or any along here as its the main corridor to the new building and all night you hear people going back and forth including anyone in the courtyard. Some residents also thought it was funny to knock peoples door and run off 1am in the morning

Would visit again great value for money Lovely place loved the set up ans scenery 😀 Spa facilities so good 👍 so relaxing Breakfast was second to none, 11am check out was great as gave time for morning spa. Great stay On checking in no advise on facilities or times of breakfast or where things were such as spa, Squeaky floor boards in bedroom Carpet was looking a little shabby, a lick of paint in room is due especially near widow as black bits, room was to warm a fan would have helped, thinner duvet for winter, 2pm check would be better than 3pm

This was not our first stay at Last Drop Village and I can safely say that we have enjoyed every experience. The spa is really worth the visit and the suite was fantastic and so comfy. We took our dog with us and found it to be even more accommodating with more area's accessible with our little dog.

There are a few nice little shops within the complex and the food at both the hotel bar and pub were great. The bar only had certain area's for our dog but we could grab lunch and the pub was fully dog friendly.

We didnt access the gym or spa treatments but they looked amazing. We will look in to them next time we visit.
