Glad you had a great day with us and Rosie looked after you, thank you for the great comments
Myself and 4 friends just had an overnight stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff were amazing and did everything possible to make our stay a happy one. One of our party was on crutches and they managed to carry out some last minute room changes to get her a ground floor room. We had to leave early on the following day due to one of our party being ill and they kindly refunded our money for the two spa treatments that we had booked in order that we could get our friend home. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. We will definitely be returning and having the spa treatments th at we missed out on this time.

Eight of us visited for my Grandmas 70th birthday, for a spa package we had found online. It involved full use of facilities, two treatments, afternoon tea with bubbles, a gift for each member of party and refreshments. The facilities were good- particularly the partially outdoor infinity pool. There are a number of different steam rooms/saunas to choose from, with varying temps to suit all. Most of our party were happy with their treatments- apart from two who were disappointed that their masseuse talked all the way through- making it hard for them to relax. The day started at 10:30, and afternoon tea wasn’t due until 2:30, by which, we were all very hungry. It would have been better to have the tea closer to lunch time, and perhaps a treatment afterwards. We were half an hour late having our tea (3pm by this point), as there was a fire alarm- which a staff member said (we didn’t think he was joking either) had been set off on purpose by another staff member. We had to ask for milk several times to go with our tea, and none of us were impressed by the cakes which were dry. The really disappointing problem was when we had finished and were ready to collect our gift bags- which the staff told us we weren’t entitled to. It took over an hour, with us providing photographic proof of what was advertised in our booking, for them to agree to give us something to take home. It was a completely unnecessary hiccup, and Spoilt the end of the day. Ultimately, we spent lovely time together and mostly enjoyed our treatment, but I would personally not return in a hurry due to the unorganised manner of staff.

Had a lovely stay for our anniversary. The deal included evening meal , breakfast and a carvery lunch. Stay overnight, late checkout and lots of included alcohol.
Overall a lovely venue food was lovely and well prepared however there was a lack of vegetarian options for the mains in the evening meal. Included was a late checkout which allowed us to enjoy the spa facilities. Reception were very attentive and professional. Used the spa facilities (extra charge for treatment) wife had warm stones and I had deep tissue full body... both bryony and Karen (or Caroline I forgot her name sorry) were professional and thorough, thank you ladies you made our day even better.

I stayed at the Last Drop for the first time. Plenty of free parking. Reception was polite and efficient. The room was in the courtyard. It was well appointed. Lovely tartan carpet and pleasant decor. Clean, well presented and modern bathroom. Comfortable bed. Free Wi-fi and usb charging points on the desk and beside the bed, nice touch.
Breakfast was perfectly acceptable and check out was swift. I would stay again.

I have stayed at Last Drop on a few occasions now, however I will be changing. The staff however are very attentive and polite, however this is what I would describe as a “bitty piecey “ Hotel. Large hotel in lovely grounds however accommodation standards vary a lot. This Hotel needs a complete bedroom refurbishment as room standards are not consistent. Many carpets are thread bear, restaurant is a bit in the dark ages with decor and menus, breakfast buffet hot food is not hot!

Dinner menus remind me of the late sixties and seventies not up to date at all for the private individual businessman or guests that are not on a coach. A member of staff indicated that a number of guests do go out to eat.

It’s a shame, as it really has great potential to be the pride of Bolton as Bolton does not have a real a decent Hotel.

Leisure Centre is very good a great feature at the hotel, but if I was Management here I would be pushing on investment.

Value for money it’s ok and I am sure fits well with the market place. Lot’s of functions do take place in many of the function facilities. I wish them well but please do something with the majority of the rooms, particularly the older ones.

Went for a short break and was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful hotel in its own grounds. Check in couldn't have been easier. We requested a room with a bath and got one. We had what I thought was a a small problem with the room ( a slight smell) but when I mentioned this the Duty Manager had no hesitation for us to change rooms with her help. When we went for our evening meal we were given a complimentary drink for our inconvenience. What Service. The highlight for us was the spa. Free towels and full use of the jaccuzi steam rooms and pool... The hydrotherapy pool is a novel indoors outdoors pool which put a smile on all first time users. We are not ramblers but enjoyed 2 of the 3 walks around the hotel area. We didn't go in the village shops as that is not our thing but it may be yours.. Nearly forgot , The bed was large and comfortable . We shall be going again.

We stayed here to attend a wedding so didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but the breakfast was very good, the room was comfortable and the pool and spa were really great! They also accommodated us in arriving quite late in the evening and the bar was open 24/7 - fantastic!

Just stayed at the Last Drop overall a lovely hotel in a convenient location for Manchester, Pennines, and Blackpool. The Spa facilities were excellent and the breakfast area was tasty and very well staffed also on top of the hot buffet you could also request items seperatley from the menu if you wished. We are family of four and would definitely return if we visited the area. We didn't eat in the restaurant so I cannot comment on the food but did look on the expensive side also the bar prices were a bit on the high side as well. We stayed in the executive room and got included chocolates and a drink voucher each (adults) which was nice touch.
Although we stayed in the executive rooms we did feel they were a bit disappointing for a few reasons:
1) No Drawers just a large wardrobe with couple of shelves with hardly any hangers
2) Dodgy shower which was cold and then suddenly the pressure would drop and then came out scalding hot, very dangerous. We did notice that a button was missing from the handle so maybe this was the reason.
3) No light beside light, or switch near the bed so you had to switch of the only light from near your bedroom door and then navigate your way back to your bed in the dark.
4) Executive room with desk but no desk light !
5) We stayed 5 nights and are our sheets were not changed once, maybe this was a environmental reason however most hotels I have stayed in for that length of time they would normally be changed at least once

Had a great time here.Attended my eldest sons wedding reception and stayed overnight. Was allocated room 70 which had a really comfortable double bed and an equally comfy single. En suite bathroom was comparable to any 4 star hotel. Bar prices were similar to prices in bars in Central Manchester.Wedding meal was of excellent quality.

We stayed for a Saturday night, and found the staff to be most helpful and check in / out went smoothly.
The room was good quality, with excellent bathroom. The only issue was lack of air conditioning and leaving windows open as it could get quite noisy outside.
The bar had a relaxing atmosphere, unfortunately we didn't sample the restaurant or spa.

My wife and I attended the wedding of my granddaughter, Katie Lever , to Mathew Whale.
We also booked an overnight stay following the wedding day celebrations.

I think and know that all of the guests who sat down to the wedding meal were absolutely well pleased with the service , quality and presentation of the whole wedding feast.
The evening buffet was also well served and of good quality.
Special mention of Loren who looked after us with a smile , nice words and very professional .
We thoroughly recommend this hotel and it’s facilities for your wedding celebration and stay.
Thank you one and all at Last Drop Village and Spa.

It is clear that refurbishment has taken place in some areas of the hotel but there is still work to be done to have a consistently high standard throughout. Some corridors have a very dated dark mahogany style wood throughout which would be much improved and modernised with lighter paint.

Our exec family room was nice inside, newly painted and carpeted and the bathroom looked new too. Again the dark wardrobe with stains let down the overall look. Works were underway in the lift area during our stay which wasnt ideal and gave a building site feel.

Spa and pool were very good although changing area showers would benefit from more thorough cleaning. Someone had obviously used a blue shampoo and it remained on the shower walls for the duration of the 3 days we were there.

The restaurant and bar area were fair although some shabby bits of furniture and decor. Food was good enough but on the greasy side. Itd be great if there was an alternative themed restaurant on site e.g. Italian for those staying more than one night.

The Last Drop Inn was looking very tired and in need of a deep clean and refurb. This could make a great 2nd restaurant option if more appealing.
Some kids activities would be welcome in the village area? Maybe a treasure hunt or similar activity to collect from the toy shop?

All in all we had an enjoyable little stay but felt that we had overpaid given the location and standard of accommodation and facilities.

Great potential and will keep an eye out for special offers.

2 night break bought for me as a gift so that I could get some peaceful rest and relaxation in may.

The venue provided this to a degree. The variety of spa facilities where a joy as was the hydrotherapy/jacuzzi pool with the outdoor bit overlooking the moors (if you squint to ignore the car park directly in front of you).

Treatments available were equally enjoyable had a relaxing deep tissue massage and a facial which was okay. Trip included breakfast and dinner which were both lovely and filling in a nice clean and peaceful restaurant. Rooms where cosy, beds really comfortable, bathrooms spotless and modern. Overall the break achieved what I was looking for - relaxation.

Downsides swimming pool was open to children so the communal changing rooms when used on one day where full of kids.
Staff in the treatment section of the spa where a bit of a mixed bag, first day lovely and accommodating, lent me some change ( which I returned ) for the lockers as I didn't know I would need any. Second day I was read the riot act by staff for not having money because the policy had changed the week before and I should be expected to know that ( how I'm not sure). They where also selling samples on the desk for a donation to charity. I made the donation and started to walk off with the samples only to be called back and informed that I couldn't just walk off with them without paying followed by a grumpy acknowledgement when I pointed out the staff member I had just paid. Lastly treatment staff did not do a consultation before doing the facial so no idea what was used.

I had to change rooms part way through the night due to a load clanking noise coming from the radiators I had been upgraded to a suite but to escape the noise had to downgrade to a room. However the staff member who facilitated the move was quick and efficient - although I had to use my mobile to call and sort it out as the room phone didn't work. To make up for the inconvenience I was given a drinks voucher for the restaurant.

When I ordered a drink as part of a meal the greeter at the door made a big deal about how he needed me to pay as it wasn't part of he package. I explained that I had a voucher and he was pretty insistent that I go back to my room collect it and return straight away in the middle of the meal. I explained that I would do so and drop it off later on, to which he instead offered to send someone to my room to take it from me when I went back there. This all seemed somewhat excessive to me. This compounded by the attitude of the treatment staff and an issues at check in where they insisted I make the payment with my card rather than them continuing payment via the person who had rang up booked it with their card, left me with a distinct feeling that they were judging me in some way.

This is not really a place accustomed to solo travellers. I was asked repeatedly if I would be having my treatment alone, eating alone, booking in alone in a somewhat shocked tone. Upon leaving it was suggested next time I come back with my husband...If I had been there getting over a break up it would have been somewhat depressing.
