Wonderful feedback for Kelly, we hope to see you again Freddie
Recently attended dinner and business conference. The facilities were excellent. Great location and plenty of free parking. The venue is superb for any business events you are thinking of holding and the conference facilities are second to none. The staff could not be more helpful if they tried. Had lots of positive feedback from the event. I would give it 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone.

A huge thank you to The Last Drop. 200+ delegates from across the North West attending a 2day conference with a gala dinner in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation, food and facilities fantastic! Staff and service professional. Different rooms and suites within the venue to cater for all size of meetings to suit a conference of our size. A superb venue! All visitors to our conference from across the region were suitably impressed. We will be back!

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. We had a family room for the four of us and my mum had her own Executive room. The rooms were really spacious and we appreciated the extra touches like the chocolates and the water that was replenished each day. Although there was some work being done in the part of the hotel we were staying it it didn't disrupt us.
The hotel itself and the grounds are lovely, the kids loved the pool and the adults made the most of the spa facilities too.
We had dinner in the restaurant, we hadn't booked and were initially told there was no space, but then one of the restaurant team kind to find us in the bar to say that they had managed to squeeze us in. The food was good and service was quick. The breakfast was buffet style, choice was ok, but enough to set us up for the day.
We loved the hotel and would return if we were in the area.

To celebrate my 70th birthday my daughters paid for me to stay at the Last Drop Village hotel which was generally lovely. I was given an upgrade when I asked for one which was appreciated. The room was lovely and clean and the bed and crisp white bedding made for a very comfortable sleep. I enjoyed a drink at the bar and dinner was very good. However, breakfast was not. On entering I saw everything laid out and assumed it was all self service but could not see any hot food, despite the equipment having hot water steaming from the containers. I sat down and waited, assuming that the kitchen would be sending out more food. Other guests were hanging around too. After quite a long time I called over a member of staff who informed me that the breakfast would be brought to me and took my order. He did not ask what I wanted to drink so I assumed it was self service and walked around looking for it but found nothing. Again, I had to call a member of staff and my coffee was brought to me, but without milk so I had to ask for that too. The menu does not give any information about how to order and there were quite a few members of staff walking around so I fail to understand why my order was not taken. All in all it was a shambolic experience.

Another part of my birthday present was to have beauty treatments and I chose afternoon tea which was in the package. The food was delightful but the coffee was hardly lukewarm so told my waiter who said it was 97 degrees but I emphasized that it was not hot. A fresh pot of hot coffee was brought which was lovely.

Overall, my stay was pleasant and relaxing but I just wanted to pass on my comments.

We would like to thank Nasser and his wonderful team for the most fantastic day.
Their skill, professionalism and care made my daughters wedding day everything and more!
From the set up the day before, to the wedding day and then the clear up next day nothing was too much trouble
The food was magnificent, perfectly executed and our guests were truly happy!
There were little attentions to detail that meant I, brides mum, could finally step back and just enjoy.
Word of advice to anybody planning to stage the venue themselves- make sure the room is free the day before - we didn’t know until the week before and I m certain we couldn’t have managed as a team of 5 of us took over 7 hours. That said the result was amazing and the Penny Farthing Suite is a perfect setting.
My only criticism would be the lack of communication in the build up - it’s a very expensive and stressful time and e mails aren’t particularly personal.
Once again thank you Nasser - you really are the master of ceremonies

Me and my wife had our wedding reception here on 4th August and the whole day was perfect.

From the day before when I was dropping bits off for the ceremony up until the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They took all the stress out of the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Prior to the wedding we met with Jade to discuss how the day would run and all the little details. She really put our minds to rest in terms of how the day would go and I can't thank her enough for all the support.

The wedding breakfast and evening buffet were perfect, a lot of the guests did also say how lovely the food was. I would like to thank the kitchen staff for the meals as they were top notch.

I'd also like to say a special thanks to Lauren and Ryan who made sure the day run smoothly, Dylan who kept the top table's drinks topped up throughout the wedding breakfast and the rest of staff who worked that day deserve a special mention.

Lastly, the facilities and hotel room were excellent. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a venue for their wedding.

Lovely hotel and grounds. We only line 20 minutes away so after a well deserved break after a week of working we chose this place to relax and unwind often. The pool is amazing with out door hydrotherapy pool where you can watch the sun set. The restraunt always serves food that is nice for a break away. The room was lovely, very clean and fresh. A couple of problems was the late night party celebration for a wedding which kept us awake until gone 1am. Even this was ok and we understand that because they are popular for weddings and we understand why. However the staff arriving and waking you up at 6am was a life too much even for us. When mentioning it to reception on check out all we got was we will take it on board. I wasn't expecting a free night or anything in return but a bit more that that would have been greatfully revived as valued guesses. I would always have given this lovely hotel a 4+ but it has only been one bad experience from many good. Staff outstanding service, welcome until departure.

We got married on the 28th July 2018 in the Penny Farthing suite and from start to finish Liz,Tara & Lauren were superb. The day was everything we had wished for and more. All our guest commented on what a fantastic venue to get married at and hopefully we will be attending future family weddings here.

My friend and I took our friend has a treat and we used the spa facilities which were superb. I love the hydrotherapy pool and all the facilities are wonderful. We had a nice relaxing day & spent time in the steam room & the halo therapy room did its job, it was great. The facilities are very good and I would return.
We also visited the tearooms and the food was delicious I had potato cakes which were homemade with Brie and cranberry. I highly recommend very enjoyable. I also had a smoothie which was one of the best I’ve had. I would recommend this a very enjoyable day 😊

A lovely hotel and got a bargain at £99 for the 4 of us for a night. Which included breakfast. The hot food was cooked fresh and was nice. A good sized pool and the spa section is one of the nicer ones I have seen. If in the area again we would use again

We got a gift voucher for afternoon tea as an anniversary present . We booked to have it in the courtyard restaurant . The waitress was lovely and greeted us warmly , even wishing us happy anniversary . There was only us in the restaurant , think because they don’t normally serve there at lunch time. We were served quickly with our tea , although was a little disappointed with the selection of cakes served , didn’t quite live up to the standard of the photos on website . Saying that it was alright but wasn’t wowed , probably wouldn’t go for afternoon tea there again .

Would like to say a big thank you to Last Drop Village and spa. Our daughter and her fiancé chose this as their venue for their wedding on 24 August 2018. From start to finish everything went smoothly, this was down to the team of staff working on the day. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. A special thank you has to go to Nasser our master of ceremonies, he was fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would certainly recommend this venue and Nasser to oversee any reception held here.

The only downside if I have to have one is that the rooms aren’t ready to check into until 2pm which can prove a problem for guests wanting to get changed. I think a number of rooms could be made available specifically for wedding guests to get ready to rectify this problem.

After staying at this hotel about 2-3 times a week for the last six weeks or so, I thought I would write a review. Not something I usually do, but this place warrants it - and I hope I can give potential guests an honest and reassuring overview.
I travel all over the UK each week and you tend to get a little particular when choosing a hotel to make the week go that little much easier. Having stayed in nearly all the hotels that come up on booking sites The Last Drop trumps them all by a long way. It is slightly out of Bolton centre (a good thing in my opinion as it can be a little depressing ) - but when you arrive here, it feels like you are on a mini-break due to the fantastic spa, pool and land that the hotel occupies.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, especially Bar and Reception, I tend to deal with these more than other parts of the team, but honestly, everyone really goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and if you want a bit of professional banter to unwind, they make you feel comfortable.
Rooms are well appointed - considering the price and the facilities on offer this should be your No1 choice in Bolton.
There is a wide selection of food on offer - the standard is acceptable, however in truth, if this was addressed and just upped another level, the overall feeling of the stay at the hotel would be absolutely spot on. Attention to detail is key, and sometimes this can just slightly lack on the food - I believe actually this is being addressed currently so I look forward to the changes.
The staff work really hard to make you feel welcome and at home. If you can get there for the check in time, do so, and enjoy the pool sauna and hydro pool (which is partly open air incidentally and a great way to unwind) -
All in all, a great hotel- I recommend it if staying in Bolton.
Incidentally, a taxi into Bolton is about £8-12 and it's conveniently placed for the Reebok stadium for concerts and football - and it's much cheaper than many sub standard Manchester Hotels and it's easy enough to get to Manchester (30 min drive - or train from Bolton to Centre.

The hotel is comfortable and staff friendly. The rooms are clean but could do with an update. Expensive evening meals but tasty. Lacked vegetables.
The spa is lovely and has good facilities.

Over thirty years ago this hotel was smaller and had an excellent reputation which was well deserved. Visiting for the first time since 1985, the hotel has grown beyond recognition. At check in I presented a debit card which was scrutinised carefully before being asked to put it in the card reader. As details had been entered on the computer as well as for the payment, I expected to be able to charge items to the room.

The room was a good size, good hanging space and had a comfortable bed but the bathroom, whilst clan and generally bright had a loose tap fitting and the bath sealant badly needed replacing.

Prior to our meal, I ordered two gin and tonics and two beers. As the only person at the bar at the time I was rather taken aback that the barman completely forgot to serve the gin and tonics and after serving the beer just asked for payment for the beer. Having reminded him about the other drinks, when I asked for the bill to be charged to the room I was told no credit details were allocated to the room. £7.80 for a gin and tonic is taking the proverbial.

In the restaurant we where we ate with friends, six of us in total, we ordered a range of four starters stating that we wanted to share. They included whitebait, various breads served with olive oil and vinegar, garlic bread and olives. No plates were offered until we asked for them, and we had to remind the waitress to bring the olive oil and vinegar. For desert three of us ordered Eaton Mess. For £5.95wevwere presented with a few smal, pieces of meringue, a couple of blueberries and a few strawberries arranged around a large plate linked with coulis linking the pieces and the odd blob of cream. These were sent back as, as the three ladies in the party, all excellent cooks with over 140 years experience between them said, the dish was not Eaton Mess by any stretch of the imagination. Alternative dishes were ordered.

We skipped breakfast as the room rate of £74 for a room that was no better than many hotels £10 cheaper did not include breakfast and none of the in room information showed the cost.

This hotel has a large amount of meetings business and its charges look to be aimed at the corporate market. It is certainly trading on its past reputation. We vwon't be staying again

this was our 2nd stay here except this time we had our dog with us, i cannot fault the very efficient and friendly staff at this hotel, from the reception desk right through to the dining, bar and spa staff, the very welcoming Olivia informed us that our room was ready early which was a bonusas we had driven from somerset we had booked a dog friendly room which was superb, very clean and you would not know any dogs had ever stayed there, a lovely touch was the very welcoming housekeeper who appeared with a clean dog bed and bowls for our dog which we did not expect. The hotel is ideally positioned right on the edge of the moor so dog walking certainly not an issue, was good that dog was allowed in the area just before the bar and outside terrace which meant we really could relax.
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and all food was hot and certainly tasty - would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area, thankyou all staff for your professionalism and making our stay enjoyable and relaxing,

The first time I'd been to this event after 8 years. For the area this is probably as good as you'll get. The staff were pleasant, friendly and competent. The outside views are very nice. The decoration more than adequate. As a local venue, very few can match it.

Having stayed for three nights, the overall impression one gets is of a hotel in need of a good steam clean. The carpet in the room was stained and without slippers being provided, it was with reluctance that one walked without shoes. Towels had further stains as did the upholstery on the chair and bed throw. Although the bathroom had been newly renovated, the exhaust did not function efficiently and one could see mold on the walls due to the steam build-up and with toiletries never replenished throughout the whole stay. Having experienced the standard of cleanliness of the room, we decided to forego the use of the pool and spa.

Breakfast was rather long winded due to the delay in replacing items in the buffet. Having decided to avoid the buffet so to speed up the process by ordering a la carte, the order was taken three times due to staff forgetfulness before it was delivered over 30 minutes later.

If one is not bothered by dubious hygiene standards or lack of efficiency, then the Last Drop Village Hotel would be a satisfactory stay. Saying that however, all the staff were friendly and helpful.
