Lovely hotel, great spa and leisure facilities and a nice bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking and set in its own grounds within very easy reach of the motorway network.

Very good stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel and facilities clean and tidy. He hotel looks a little tired and in need of a spot of paint and new carpets in places. Spa facilities and treatment very good.
Evening meal was good. Let down by the cheese board. Only one cheese came that was on the menu, the other ones were completely different ,crackers were a mix ,some a horrible garlic powder flavour and the walnut and celery salad was missing the celery and salad. Breakfast very good.

I've stayed here at least 3 times now, business and pleasure, and its a fine place.
Staff are always pleasant.
Some finer details need looking at, like ensuring there is TV remote in the rooms.

Pleasant staff, nice surroundings, lovely breakfast. The rooms we stayed in were a little jaded. One the room heaters didn't work so we had to call reception who kindly brought up a portable heater. We were using the whole pool just after 9 on the Saturday morning and at least 2/3 of it was cordoned off for an aqua aerobics class - one of the people in the class was outside of the cordoned off area and occupying an area in the remaining 1/3 that was supposed to be left free for swimming...That made the swimming area even smaller! Some of the people doing the aqua class seemed to be annoyed that other people were using the other 1/3 of the pool and splashing around etc. This shared use of the pool should probably be made clearer at the time of the booking and the people doing the class should be made aware that people including kids can still have fun in the remaining 1/3 of the pool.

Dont get me wrong it's ok this place but when you come for a spa weekend and the facilities are being closed off for a birthday party and things are broken. Not good really.

Nice location and lovely room, highlight has to be the buffet breakfast which was one of the better buffet breakfasts I've had at hotels.

We stayed in the executive suites which we were both happy with although one slight downfall the shower cubicle had a drainage smell to it. The leisure facilities were great and all the staff were very helpful throughout our stay.

A very pleasant relaxing night away, with superb service and excellent quality food. I had booked the spa time together package for me and my daughter and we loved it, from the spa treatments, to the pool, the restaurant, the friendly staff and the privilege room, which was spacious, clean and well equipped as well as being very peaceful. The bed was excellent, we had a great night's sleep. The evening dinner was superb, the food was top notch and the service excellent. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice for all tastes. All areas of the hotel are well staffed, managed superbly and very clean.

First of all my name on the invoice was Mr Cooper and not Ms Cooper.I stayed in room 88 for 4 nights which was fine and then I was moved to room 22 which really I thought was a very pokey room, water stains on bathroom ceiling grouting on tiles very grubby old chipped and scratched furniture no drinking glass or plastic cup in bathroom.Quite a lot of dust everywhere. To top it all I have been overcharged £30 room 88 was at 4nights bb at £110 per night and room 22 for 5 nights at £75 per night does not come to £845.On 2 occasions I did not have breakfast due to banging doors and emptying bottle skips at silly hours waking me up and then oversleeping. Not a happy customer.I booked this hotel because I have worked there in the 80s and 90s as Banqueting and Bar Manager for 12 years.More like a staff bedroom.

After a long day of travel it was really lovely to arrive at the hotel and be greeted on arrival, we had a nice beer and dinner in the restaurant, which was a pleasant experience. My room was nice and quiet, which meant that I had a good nights sleep, which was followed by an excellent breakfast selection.

Went to the Wedding open day. Very well presented, good amount of suppliers without it being overbearing. Staff were attentive and friendly and gave good, detailed information. The hotel itself was presentable if a tad unoriginal.

Impressive building gardens and communal areas
Very nice staff . Excellent breakfast.
Very old fashioned furniture.Needs upgrade.
Pretty dark room, the electric heater is very old and not enough for cold nights
Excellent bed, mattress , duvet and pillows. Very comfortable
Unfortunately there was a kind of noise from a vibrating source, like a big freezer working at night, running all the time andI I had to use earplugs

Attended a function and booked a room for the night. Function Room was beautiful, as was the food, and my vegetarian dish was very nicely presented in a separate bowl but on the same plate with the accompanying vegetables, which part was the same as everyone else.
Room very large and comfortable, with a bath - the older hotels have this, but the newer ones only showers - which I personally do not like.
The check in staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Lovely room, though some distance from reception and restaurant. Very comfortable beds and great shower. Helpful staff. Minor flaws; no bathrobes though described as part of exec room extras; breakfast buffet layout could be improved by separating cold counter from hot thus splitting the queues and reducing waiting.
