Looking a bit tired now but I am reliably informed that the new owners have an extensive refurbishment planned towards the year end.
Well worth a stay based on room rate and the wonderful history and character of the building.

朝飯は色々選べ、給仕の質は高いとかんじた。建物自身古く、抗菌期待したいので☆一つへらしました。

Positive start...booked single room and ended up with really lovely king size bed in a small courtyard complete with pretty fountain.
Evening meal was very nice but took an age..seated at 18.30 and left restaurant 20.30!..
Only one teabags in my room..had to keep requesting more tea and milk.
Shower great.
Gym was ok..however my treadmill just stopped dead after 5k!!!
No one in there to assist or advise
Breakfast was a really good selection of fresh fruit..pastries..and usual hot breakfast..
Grounds disappointing as nowhere to walk/ around as all green areas barbed wire fenced off.
Bar expensive! Glass of wine and brandy and lemonade over £15!!!
General cleanliness very good.
Nowhere to go if you dont have transport.

Issues with cleanliness and noise from a function, but after several complaints, I got an apology and a promise that it would be dealt with. I would recommend asking if there are functions on before you book and request a room further away.

Not a bad hotel, my room was small and basic but other rooms in the hotel have A.C.

Stayed here twice, first stay in a regular room and upgraded to a privalage room the second time for an extra £25 - you only get a small fridge with two small bottles of coke and a small pod coffee machine with 3 pods for the upgrade.
Rooms acceptable but dated and need some matainance here and there, just terrestrial tv available, free wifi, all staff Very friendly and efficient.
The food in the restersunt is very good and the buffet breakfast has masses of choice from full english to cerials, croissant and fruits.
The spa has two steam rooms, aroma steam room, bio sauna, rock sauna and more with swimming pool with built in jacuzzi.
The spa is free to use for anyone staying which also includes children so bare this in mind when planning your relaxation time in the spa.
The frontage of the buildage is stunning but unfortunately the inernals of the rooms are quite basic, would benafit from a revamp but on the whole i would recommend and would have given 5 stars if the rooms had an upgrade.
